love across the sky

You can tell how much I like this movie from the long introduction attached earlier. The last time I saw such a good music movie probably dates back to Control more than half a year ago, or the classic The Sound of Music too. The beautiful music and imaginative pictures brought me to the middle of the film under the director's careful arrangement, I can clearly feel the emotions of the characters in it, beat in the notes, and use colors to explain. The protagonists are Jude, Lucy's two beloved lovers and Max, a typical rebellious young man of that era. The plot is not only a main line of Jude and Lucy's love, but also the description of various lives, ideal pursuits, and that The rebellion and resistance of the era, the war and the anti-war struggle are still fresh in my memory, and what is more valuable is that these plots are so naturally narrated around the time and storyline of the movie, and the beautiful music is poured in to make it all easier. The hair is energetic and vivid to show the emotion and mood that the filmmaker wants to convey to us.

The love between Jude and Lucy is very emotional. It tells the story of their pursuit of happiness and the divorce of love. In the end, they have come back together after many difficulties, and they have a happy and not old-fashioned ending. Max, a very likeable character, his character represents a typical young man in the 1960s who embraces youth and pursues happiness. Unlike his sister Lucy, he will cause trouble everywhere and go his own way. What also needs to be mentioned is Sadie's band, which is interspersed with her love story with JO-JO black guitarist, chasing dreams and happiness, and being a good friend of Jude and Max, the music and storylines in this film make the film become fuller. It was the war that brought them together. Jo-Jo left his hometown to make a living in New York because of the war, Max was forced to serve in Vietnam, and Lucy's first boyfriend Danniel also died in the war. After Lucy participated in the radical anti-war, the war brought disaster to the society, and when facing this life-devouring demon, the love between people became more precious.

Lucy is very beautiful, not only with her beautiful body, but also with her pure heart. What the director presents to us is an ideal and simplistic 1960s America, democratic movement, love, idealism, all of which are found in Lucy, this character is so beautiful, it is the center of the whole movie, you will find When finally Lucy and Jude met on the roof opposite the street, that pure smile, yes, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. At this time, everything is over, and there is only a beautiful atmosphere under the music melody. Of course a lot of people would accuse the movie of some superfluous or not very relevant plot interfering with the theme, but as a musical movie, it is necessary to carefully insert so much Beatles music into the plot and make the whole thing change. It is not poor and single. I think the filmmakers have done a very satisfactory job. Moreover, these colorful shots are precisely to better reflect the society of that era, and also enrich and expand the connotation of the film.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, beautiful, simple and honest, with love in life, life will be full of happy sunshine.

Across the Universe quotes

  • Jude: What is that place?

Prankster: The headquarters of the league of spiritual deliverance!

Dr. Robert: The home of Dr. Gary, another outlaw, like myself. We're navigators, we're aviators, we're eatin' tators, masturbatin' alligators, bombardiers, we got no fears, we don't shed no tears, we're pushin' the frontiers... of transcendental perception. What's weird is, we haven't met yet, on this or any other plane.

Prankster: Hey doc, he says he won't see you, man.

Dr. Robert: Why, is he sick?

Prankster: He just said he's busy.

Dr. Robert: Did you tell that

    [sniff]

Dr. Robert: sonofabitch that we drove 3,000 miles to see him? Alright, everybody back on the bus. We're going home, to California.

Max: Doc, California isn't home to all of us.

Dr. Robert: What can I say? You're either on the bus, or off the bus.

  • Mr. Kite: It's me!

    [music blast]

    Mr. Kite: In the thing!
