Foreigners are as superstitious as us. They don't like the number 13, so high-rise buildings in Europe and America do not have a 13th floor. The literal translation of the film's English name is "the 13th floor", which itself alludes to an illusion. This film is earlier than "The Matrix", and there are no special skills in itself. It can be said that it wins by the plot. When the truth gradually fades and the veil begins to appear, the audience's curiosity becomes more and more vigorous, and they are firmly attracted by the film. "The Matrix" is to this film what "Avatar" is to "Future Men".
From here, we can once again see the niche and unreliability of IMDB. The IMDB score of this film is only 6.7, which is lower than the 8.0 of "Mystic River" and far lower than the 8.7 of "The Matrix 1". I gotta say: this is a grossly underrated movie.
