It's a love movie

This is the first horror movie I saw in the cinema (it seems to be one of the few horror movies released in China), or a thriller is more appropriate.

In fact, I and my friends originally planned to watch Du Lala, but I accidentally saw this newly released film, so I decided to watch this film by some gods.

Although the version released in China has cut out the most terrifying scenes, it is still quite terrifying for a coward like me who has never watched horror movies. I always close my eyes in horror at the most critical plots, so much that I find many plots inexplicable, and it is only when I come back to the film review that I realize it.

Although this film is known as one of the top ten horror films in the world, its ending does not have the despair and helplessness brought by ordinary horror films, but it unexpectedly conveys strong family and maternal love.

The plot of this film is so cleverly designed and interlocking, and the horror phenomenon created at the beginning is explained one by one at the end, making people feel heartache for the death of the little boy, but also deeply moved by the mother's love.

Although the film is under the banner of a horror film, the theme conveyed is love and family affection, which is frightened and moved.

In short, this is an excellent horror film that is rarely seen in theaters in China. If you have the opportunity, take your girlfriend to see it~

The Orphanage quotes

  • Simón: [while reading Peter Pan] Wendy grows old and dies?

Laura: Wendy grows old, but Peter Pan takes her daughter to Neverland every year.

Simón: Why doesn't Wendy go, too? If Peter Pan came to get me, would you come, too?

Laura: No. I'm too old to go to Neverland, darling.

    Simón: How old are you?

    Laura: Thirty-seven.

Simón: At what age will you die?

Laura: What sort of question is that? Not for a long time, until you're very old.

Simón: I won't grow old. I'm not going to grow up.

Laura: Will you be like Peter Pan?

    Simón: Like my new friends.

    Laura: There's more than one?

    Simón: Six.

Laura: They won't grow up either?

    Simón: They can't.

  • Aurora: Seeing is not believing. It's the other way around. Believe, and you will see.
