At the beginning of the film, Ronnie went to school to participate in his son's learning activities, and was called away by a phone call. It was a wonderful and peaceful world. As the plot continues, what is unexpected is the human bomb attack that occurred, and the ground is full of mutilated human tissues and relics of deceased people. Fran finds the child's hat, which makes Fran miserable. Immediately afterwards, there was an attack on the ambulance personnel who came later. There was a sudden explosion, and there were no cars, ambulances, and firetrucks around. This was a pre-planned terrorist attack targeting U.S. personnel. When learning all this, agent Ronnie, bomb expert Gran. Seth, intelligence analyst Adam. Li Wei, forensic officer Janet. Mace decided to go to the Saudi Arabian site in person to find out what was going on. Their investigation was thwarted, initially by the government rejecting them over security concerns and onerous regulations by the Saudi police and the local prince.
Until the end of the film, I just treated this film as a normal war film, until the Saudi policeman Faris who accompanied Ronny and the others to investigate was Abu. Hamza's grandson Ali was killed. I have seen many people leave, and I have seen them in my life, a fact that I have always been reluctant to admit. Faris' death shocked me, and a good man would rush away without warning or understanding. I have never been confused because of the death of the person in the film. Maybe I like this character very much, so I can't judge him without emotion.
Writing here, the uncomfortable feeling has not subsided. When I close my eyes, the picture of Faris being hit by a bullet emerges. Faris' helpless and confused expression before his death, the messy scene, the guns scattered on the ground, and Janet's rescue. Ali's pictures emerged one after another.
Having said so much, I still can't calm down, I really want to cry, but there are no tears. There are only messy thoughts in my heart, I can't calm down, I can't let go.
