The Movie Channel did a bit of an appreciation last night before showing the film. In fact, I didn't like Indian movies very much at first. I always thought that Indian movies are those, musical films with strong Indian music accompaniment. However, after listening to the introduction, I became very interested, and I was very curious about this film. I have always been interested in films with delicate shooting techniques and emphasis on emotional humanities.
Indeed, after watching "Moon River", I have changed a lot of Indian movies, and I also like the interpretation of the characters in the film by the male and female protagonists. The director is indeed a woman with delicate feelings, and the characters are very accurate. There is also the holy river in the film and the melodious Indian music, which creates a good atmosphere for the film.
The river is really beautiful, but it is a pity that it does not witness the happy life of the local people, but the unfortunate fate of women under the constraints of tradition. People think that it can wash away the filth of the soul, but maybe it can't wash away the dust and oldness of people's minds. In a sense, it brings misery to its admirers...
Indian traditions, sometimes true. Love it and hate it, India, always strikes me as mysterious...
