"Beauty is art;music is beauty."---Nathaniel
"All I want to do is to play music, and here is the problem ,that I 'm having right here, this one's gone, this one'gong, this little one's out of commission~~~" The homeless musician, who wears in rags and plays the violin with two strings in the street, leaves a deep impression on me.
I ever thought that almost all the musicians or the artists should wear suits and play the musical instruments in a concert , gracefully. But Nathaniel is the opposite one .In the film, he is quite absorbed in his music with his poor violin in the street or the tunnel. What's more, the nature and the whole city are his audiences ````so unique Nathaniel is !
Maybe someone would say that Nathaniel is mentally ill. Yeah, I do agree with them. But I strongly believe that Nathaniel is the true musician who loves music from his deepen heart so crazily and I think his love comes from the faith for art. Steve Lopez ever said that he 've never loved anything the way Nathaniel loves music. Maybe it is the same with all of us!
Fortunately ,with the help of friendship between Steve Lopez ,Nthaniel finally recover from the mental ill.The last scene in the film, this two heroes are enjoying a concert sitting in silence. Just as Steve said : I can tell you that by witnessing Mr .Ayers's courage in humility ,his faith in the power of his art .I've learned the dignity of being loyal to something you believe in of holding onto it ,above all else of believing without question that it will carry you home."
This is what I learned from this film.
Now Nathaniel is restarting his new life ,and I'd llike to tell him I am always looking forward to his music```

Steve Lopez: "Points West" by Steve Lopez. A year ago, I met a man who was down on his luck and thought I might be able to help him. I don't know that I have. Yes, my friend Mr. Ayers now sleeps inside. He has a key. He has a bed. But his mental state and his well-being, are as precarious now as they were the day we met. There are people who tell me I've helped him. Mental health experts who say that the simple act of being someone's friend can change his brain chemistry, improve his functioning in the world. I can't speak for Mr. Ayers in that regard. Maybe our friendship has helped him. But maybe not. I can, however, speak for myself. I can tell you that by witnessing Mr. Ayers's courage, his humility, his faith in the power of his art, I've learned the dignity of being loyal to something you believe in, of holding onto it. Above all else, of believing, without question, that it will carry you home.
