Although a few hours ago I was babbling about women's rights and gender inequality like a feminist, now I can shed tears for a movie about a very small girl. Is it really easier to cry when you grow up? Or are marriage and friendship too important for women to stress enough? From the moment Emma's father gave his daughter, who was about to walk on the red carpet, her best friend, he wanted to cry, watching two beautiful women prepare to go to their respective weddings and began to cry, in the narration about the little girl I cried the hardest when I was pulling a hook-like "friendship of a lifetime". For the third time, from a sociological point of view, the so-called wedding is a typical stereotype imposed by society as the most beautiful or most important day for a woman, but we all willingly believe that because the bride at the moment is really beautiful like a flower that blooms just right. , no longer green and dazzling; it turns out that every girl is quietly yearning for that day and that moment, as if everything was prepared for this before.
After watching this movie, I was eager to find a boyfriend. Without a boyfriend, I also started imagining a wedding. Because it was a time when happiness and all happiness was promised, no matter the ups and downs of the past, no matter the hardships of the future.
Fortunately, this cliché movie does not only talk about marriage (the beginning), and it is not limited to who is the person a woman is most meant to be with. Hollywood is still slightly sublimated to the realm of friendship. It's not just her prince who accompanies the princess all her life. What knows her best - her heart, her shortcomings, listening to her voice and screaming with her - is the bridesmaid standing behind her, the friend who can be together forever . It's a bit vulgar and childish to call a girlfriend, but I think every woman has and must have such a best friend. Bridal Wars is an exaggeration, but friends who are similar, do compete and get angry, and because they know the bottom line, they get angry very seriously, but in the end, they often have to come to a realization and let go of their previous suspicions. The best friend is available but not available. , some intimate words - Wang Anyi's "self-consciousness" - are reserved for them, and some laughter is shared with them.
The grand narrative, the complex history, and the sharp portrayal of life all just make me think and make me use my brain to analyze rationally like a modern intellectual woman, but a movie that simplifies and honeys life - reminds me of Starbucks caramel Frappuccinos (they can be mass-produced cheaply) - movies that touch my inner sensibilities, wiping tears with my fingers on a plane.
Summer is here, and it's time for women to be beautiful. Sometimes it's a joy to be simple and not to delve into it. Purely just for "life" for "live" happiness. Is to choose shallow ignorance, or to live in pain? I don't think I'll know the answer anytime soon.
