Before watching this movie, I really didn't have much hope. But I didn't expect that the director could interpret a horror film like this.
The whole film revolves around a question that the public mostly believes but the government vehemently denies — whether aliens exist, or whether they have ever been to Earth.
The film cleverly uses a large number of "real images" to compare with the images shot in the film. Before there is 100% reliable data to confirm, I still remain skeptical about the historical data in the film.
The film revolves around the experience of a psychiatrist who feels unhinged, living in a town that has long experienced something horrific — contact of the fourth kind — kidnapping. Her husband's death was still a mystery at the end, and if it was really aliens, then they didn't have to use a terrestrial tool like a knife, and there was no need for her to witness it all happen. They can kidnap her husband like her daughter, and everything is clean. Of course, I wonder why aliens favor their homes. However, I personally prefer to believe that these are bugs left by the director on purpose, so that after watching the film, fans can get out of it, think independently and judge the authenticity of the film, so as to reduce the harm of this horror film to themselves.
The reason this movie inspired me to write a review is that it brought back memories from a long time ago - I had first contact.
It was a summer evening about twelve years ago, and my mother and I were walking by the river toward the newly built Music Plaza at the bridgehead. There are several spotlights in the music plaza, drawing randomly in the dim sky. Across the road from the square is the construction bank building, which was completed not long ago, with about 30 floors. It was a landmark building in our place at that time. What impressed me the most was a giant construction bank sign on the roof, which was illuminated with white light and could be seen from a long distance.
My mother and I stopped at the square about 200 meters away, vaguely remembering that the reason seemed to be to check the weather or the stars. At that moment when we looked up at the sky, there was a scene that I can never forget - in the sky above the huge CCB signboard, two bright star-like luminaries (they were much bigger and brighter than the stars) , it was not dark yet, but they were very eye-catching) suspended. My mother and I saw it at the same time. Our first impression was two bright stars, but in less than a second, we both found that these two "stars" actually vibrated up and down slightly. So I said to my mother, "Look, it's so strange." Just as my fingers passed, the two "stars" quickly drew a zigzag trajectory in the sky, and then disappeared. In retrospect, it took no more than 5 seconds from the time we discovered it to disappear, and we didn't hear any strange noises, and its flight was silent. At that time, I was so shocked that I couldn't speak, and my mother said calmly: "Huh? What's going on?" Then I shouted "UFO!" "Alien!" in excitement and panic.
It's been many years, but every time I think about it, I still feel a little hair stand up. After watching this movie, I vaguely understand the reason why I am afraid.
