What exactly is the media - "Good Night and Good Luck"

It's been a long time since I watched this movie, and many people have recommended it.

When recommending, it is inevitable to explain McCarthy's background, Morrow's background, and George Clooney's background.

But when it comes time to comment, I don't think I need to go into details. Because it's in the movie synopsis.

I haven't seen the original Morrow show, I can only look for him from this character in the movie.
I can fully feel the characteristics of the show of that era, Morrow only occupies 2/5 of the space in the shot, and the remaining 3/5 makes way for his left arm, and the cigarette in his hand.
Of course I knew that this should be a kind of style at the time, I can understand it very well. Including a lot of movies from that era, excellent works, to be honest, it looks very contrived now. I'm not saying how fashionable I am, I am out of place now, but from my eyes, I like things that are a little more natural, but I can accept and understand the brand of an era.
So when I watch this kind of film or this kind of footage, I always take the essence and get rid of the dross, and try to ignore those characteristics that may have been a fashion icon at the time.

In such a shot, Moruo's eyes, which only took up 2/5 of the shot, cut everything to pieces with determination and sharpness, and then stitched up the world again according to his wishes.

With this kind of perseverance and sharpness, Morrow has become a unique media person in American history - using the power of the media to change the fate of the entire United States.

My heart is not at peace. This kind of unrest is not entirely from the movie, but more from the contrast. The contrast of nations, the contrast of politics, the contrast of media, the contrast of history.

My initial question was: why don't we have the media, the people in the media to save us from the political storm?
Then answer yourself: Because we don't have such a media environment.
Ask again: Why do we not have such a media environment?
A: Because we do not have such a political environment.
Ask again: Why do we not have such a political environment?
I can't answer.

I also know that the media cannot be blamed for this matter, but I just feel that hatred is not steel.
But I can't say that it has nothing to do with the media at all.
What the hell is the media now?

The sense of responsibility, the sense of justice?

Why do I recommend this movie, not because of how many awards it won, not because of how many famous actors it has, not because of how much hype.
Rather, as a film, it should be wise and thought-provoking.
Just like the media, we should address the current shortcomings and save people.

Recently I saw a friend reading online novels, and I said without hesitation: there is no culture.
When I got back I thought, why would I say this intuitively.
After I figured it out, it's like this: the novel is too heavy on the plot. I am by no means saying that novels do not have as many connotations and knowledge as essays, prose, or poetry, but that they focus too much on plot, which is like a good dish with too many ingredients.
Do you know what the consequences of this are?
The difference is not in the author, no matter what a good article is, the author is a combination of talent and knowledge, the difference is in the readers.
The novel has attracted too many people watching the fun.
The things about the Liba people are not necessarily bad, but people who read about the Liba people may not see it as good.
That's the crux of the matter.

Now is the age of fast food culture. The works focus on emphasizing conforming to the trend of the times and catering to the tastes of readers. Culture is seen as a way to get rich quick, and countless people have devoted themselves to it, just waiting for one day to hit the big luck and become famous and make a fortune. Our spiritual and cultural market is controlled by these people.

George Clooney's film is thought-provoking, and this kind of thought is not limited to the events of the film itself, but also to the current media whiplash.

The entire cultural circle should be introspected by this.
George Clooney and Sean Penn were labeled as "traitors" when they opposed the US foreign war, but I would say that if you want to be a good media, you must at least be a "rebel", and you must have the courage to oppose the inferior Interesting, anti-quick success.

The media is not here to cater to the public's taste. What the media needs to do is to improve the public's taste and improve the quality of people in society.

Good night and good luck.
