a little disappointed

This is the first British drama I watched, because I was tired from watching American dramas and wanted to change my taste. I have only watched the first episode of the first season so far, and I feel that the acting is too hard and too exaggerated, and I am very disappointed. Originally I heard that it was a bookstore comedy, I thought the bookstore was like the travel bookshop in Notting Hill, and the male protagonist should also be the kind of Hugh Grant. It turned out not to be the case at all. Maybe it has something to do with the show being a work from ten years ago. It was a good subject, unfortunately. Not recommended.

There are two types of British dramas, extreme sincerity and extreme pretending. This is a model of the latter. The pretense works in British dramas are all examples of bad jokes. If you look at it madman, Black Bookstore, Little Britain, etc., you will think that bbt is scum. It's a pity that British dramas are too short, with less than two films in a year.
