We're not watching strays, it's JAMIE BELL

After reading everyone's comments, I find it difficult to resonate with me.
I think people are more concerned about the growth of Jamie Bell than the film itself.
Everyone invisibly elevates this film in comparison.
I have seen that the advantages of this film have been reviewed by everyone, so
I will talk about the parts of this film that I am not very satisfied with.

As far as the film itself is concerned, its subject matter is quite general. It
talks about the suspicion and hatred of a troubled teenager towards his stepmother.
Some episodes are even ridiculous. The footage is also jumpy, and we can't see the slightest obstacle in the way the protagonist climbs the wall, which is a little weird.
Also, we didn't get to see how skilful his climbing skills were in the footage.
Of course, the obstacles and skills of climbing are not the focus of this film.
A film that ignores details gives the impression that it is not full or empty.

In the part of killing my stepmother, I was gnashing my teeth a second before and said "I hate you, I hate you" and suddenly woke up a second later. baffling!

If you want to see the brilliance of this film,
I am afraid you can't see it just by watching this film.
It is really necessary to compare Jamie Bell's previous acting path!

Hallam Foe quotes

  • Raymond: I fucking hate this job, but it's my job. D'ya understand?

    Hallam Foe: [nods]

Raymond: I killed a man once. Smashed his skull on a pier. Just so ya know.

  • Kate Breck: I'm a real live human being Hallam. Sometimes I want sweet; sometimes I want sour. Sometimes I don't know what I want. My shit stinks. I'm going to die someday. If I look like your mother, it's just a coincidence. Am I telling you anything you don't already know?

Hallam Foe: Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?

Kate Breck: [pensively and with regret] Probably not.
