Director: Edward Schweiger. The film that shocked me the most in the Civil War was "Patriot", which chose black troops as the protagonist and emphasized that the Civil War was a glorious battle for freedom. The former seems to focus more on the cruelty and sacrifice of war. In the last battle, music was used to render the glorious color of the war for freedom, which was very shocking and had strong idealism. Because the film does not particularly highlight the special strength of a certain person, but only tells the process of the formation, training and growth of this black army, and then to the sacrifice, it will not have a particularly strong psychological impact. But this is this honest narrative that shows us the perseverance, strength, optimism, bravery that ordinary people have. They don't speak exciting speeches. They just use their most ordinary lives to compose their own life. Song.
