I watched this movie purely for Jude Law, the son Alfie seems to be what he should be, handsome, uninhibited, romantic, unmarried, and maybe a little bit of self-righteous cleverness, but as such an attractive man, Such little cleverness can be forgiven. What the movie wants to tell us is nothing more than the process of a self-righteous handsome guy kicking the biggest iron plate in his life, his self-righteousness being disintegrated by the women he loves or by the women he loves, and finally standing by the river hesitating. Endless. I must say, I hate movies that don't have an ending, mind you, not "open ending" but "no ending". For the handsome Alfie and his authentic British accent, I give this movie 4 stars. I like Alfie, but not the movie.
