I thought I was very cold about the love stories of European and American teenagers, so I encountered skins on the recommendation of a friend. My first impression of it was "very pornographic and violent", so much so that I felt like I didn't want to continue after watching the first episode. I can't believe the UK is so open to showing so many "sex, drugs, promiscuity" series on TV across the country. If it were changed to China, it is estimated that it would have been strangled in the cradle long ago during the shooting. And to my surprise, the actors are all teenagers who are just over 16 and a half years old, but the show is also marked with the words "this film is only suitable for over 18 years old". I think this is really the director looking for fun, or hiding people's eyes and ears. The results show that most of the film's audience is under the age of 18, and it is very popular with them. Speaking of the content, for a silly little girl like me who can say that I haven't seen much of the world, I really watched it with wide eyes. They can be called corrupt, decadent, game, irresponsible attitude makes me sick, contempt, and even spurn. However, this is just what I felt when I first watched it. As the plot progressed, I gradually found that I was attracted by an indescribable magical power of this TV drama that I started to hate. Yes, that is the truth behind its seemingly decadent life, tolerance, understanding, and other precious qualities that modern society just lacks. Behind these seemingly hopeless teenagers, they let us see hope and touch.
Among them, my favorite is the two leading actors. Let me talk about Tony first. His handsome appearance made me fall in love with him at first sight. Of course, this is also what all the girls in their circles think. Tony is a heartthrob, he has a proud temperament, a princely face, excellent grades, and a beautiful girlfriend Michelle. All of these have become the coveted highlights in the eyes of others, and he also uses this advantage to play the image of a sassy and suave playboy. He takes drugs, seduces other girls, and plays life. He has always regarded Michelle as a vested possession and disapproved of it. Although Michelle is smart, she never seems to understand the games Tony plays, and she always likes to fall into the pain of jealousy. And Tony couldn't even say a sincere I love you to her. Just after a series of events happened, he finally realized that he had been silently supporting himself behind him, and that Michelle was the one who never gave up. He finally called her and said word by word, "the truth is, I love you" but unexpectedly, he had a car accident and temporarily lost his memory. On the contrary, since then, he has become more considerate of others, no longer always pretending to be aloof and domineering. He cared about others and helped others with sincerity, until he was admitted to Cardiff University with honors. Later, his memory was restored, but he and Michelle had both grown up. Looking back, the ups and downs they had spent together became memories that could not be repeated. They faced it calmly and then went their separate ways. Maybe this is fate, we fall in love in innocence and leave after maturity. The memory of the young man can only be exchanged for a faint smile, then patted the dust on his body and set off.
Then there is the sid. He and tony are best friends. This friendship is based on admiration. He is also fascinated by tony's charm, and is extremely envious of him and michelle. He is immersed in getting out of the virgin situation as soon as possible , it happens that he loves Michelle again. And pure cassie likes sid very much. But Sid's indifference allowed her to live a whorish life. Just when Sid finally realized his mistake, Cassie has arrived in New York determined to start a new life. He and Sid have always been in an elusive relationship, which is mixed with too many misunderstandings and betrayals, loss and tears, waiting and giving up. It can be said that they are very painful whether they are in a period of time together, or in a state of endless suspicion of "whether he loves me or not".
This show also made me fall in love with the British style. I see an element that is very different from America's sunny days. It is often cloudy here, and the gardens here are beautiful. The people here are strict and conservative on the surface, but in essence they know how to enjoy life very well. There is openness, tolerance and enthusiasm flowing in their bones. This is the unique style of England that I have not known in recent years. I found myself completely in love with this quiet, beautiful place. I think, in another ten years, I must live there.
