I saw it a long time ago

I watched a movie "Bridge to Terabithia" today, which translated into Chinese as "Bridge to Wonderland". At first glance, I thought it was the same magical giant system as "The Chronicles of Narnia". But in fact, this film is more similar to "Pan's Devil's Palace", which is about the dream world of children in real life.
In "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "Harry Potter", the magical world movie is sure of its existence, which is the biggest difference from the other two movies. In the plot, it is nothing more than a contest between the two sides of the evil. As the protagonist, the child is always the embodiment of kindness and justice, and assumes the responsibility of salvation and reconstruction. In the wizarding world, there seems to be a model where adults play the villain and children become saviors and heroes. The most precious qualities of human beings are already at stake in the adult world, so they pin their hopes on children who have not yet been deeply involved in the world and are still pure. However, according to normal logic, how can children replace adults with the power to rebuild the world, so the movie is dressed in magic, and everything can't be turned into a temporary possibility within a few hours of the movie playing. When watching, both adults and children are satisfied. It is easy for adults to temporarily shirk their responsibilities, and any gang of children play the house there. As for children, they believe it is true, and they have a heroic complex planted in their hearts, hoping that one day they can really become Harry Potter or Superman in this world.
The Wardrobe in "The Chronicles of Narnia" and the station nine and three-quarters in "Harry Potter" are all transit points from reality to the magical world. As long as they pass through here, ordinary children are Adam and Eve who hold the keys to fate, which is very tempting. It's just that we can't find such a good place no matter how we look for it, so the boundary between magic and reality is always clear, and people can't easily cross it. In comparison, "Bridge to Wonderland" and "Pan's Labyrinth" are less idealistic, but therefore more close and intimate. In terms of production, these two films are incomparable with the first two films. No matter the magnificent magical scenes or the terrifying momentum, they are not sufficiently rendered, and there are too few non-human beings. However, the focus of the movie is not these, so there is no need to rush to see them.
"Bridge in Wonderland" and "Pan's Labyrinth" are really moving films. Watching "Harry Potter" brings excitement and tension, but these two films can make people cry with sadness. It is now rare to have the urge to shed tears not related to love. In the two films, the depiction of reality is heavier than that of magic, and even the space of magic itself is clearly marked as a "fabrication" of children, without leaving any cute doubts. But in the end, we are more convinced that the fairy tales in these films are more real, everyone can touch it, and even have their own version. Ophelia in "Pan" and Jesse and Leslie in "Wonderland" see the magic of the mind, just like Don Quixote, his knight windmill and their fairy castle are actually different Existence is just one's own wishful thinking and self-talk. These three children, without exception, belong to the sensitive category, possessing the temperament and talent of artists. They don't wield a wand or sword, but enjoy reading or drawing. They are real children in real life, because they are really depressed and melancholy, they are often bullied and indifferent from others, and they yearn for love but cannot get it. Only in the country they imagined can they feel the freedom and warmth they yearn for. .
In comparison, the content of "Pan's Labyrinth" is heavier. The background of World War II and the violent scenes make the film dark and unsuitable for children. This is actually a movie for adults, but it asks a little girl to talk about the choice and destination of human nature. She fantasized about being the princess of the underground kingdom because she couldn't accept that her stepfather was a cold Nazi. Compared with the eternal underground, the real environment is not brighter than it, so she wants to escape. The evil and justice of human nature are contrasted everywhere in the film. Even the little girl herself is not perfect. When completing the challenge given to her by Pan, she also made mistakes, and there was a struggle between good and evil in her heart. So the little actor doesn't look like a cute and innocent look like Shirley Temple. The most moving thing in the film is her desire for warmth, which is the soul of the whole film. There are two particularly touching scenes. One is when she lies on her mother's pregnant belly and earnestly asks her brother not to torture her weak mother. She tells him stories and promises to make him the prince of the underground kingdom, which makes people feel that the child has a deep affection for his mother. love and worry. There is also a scene where she did not exchange her younger brother with Pan, but her stepfather shot through her body with a bullet, she fell in a pool of blood, and returned to the bright palace in her dying breath, seeing her dear Her father and mother greeted her. At the end of the film, the cruel rule collapsed, and love was finally returned, but the price in exchange for blood made people feel cold and heavy.
Look at "Bridge to Wonderland" again, the tone is brighter, and it tells more about the growth and confusion of teenagers. Jesse is withdrawn and introverted, making him feel alone at school and at home. Until the arrival of Leslie, a strangely bright window was opened for his hopeless life. I like Leslie, a young actress, she is smart and unique, and most importantly, she knows how to pursue her own beliefs in life at a young age. It would be inappropriate to say that she is a kind angel, she is more like a happy and free elf, leading Jesse to share the magical realm of Terabithia. She tells Jesse that you are the king of Terabithia, where they are teenagers who run without restraint. Under the influence of Reisley, Jesse became brave and cheerful, and learned how to open the wings of her heart. She is not only a friend, but also endowed with the symbol of a guide. Such a screenwriter would have more depth than a story about two children who stumbled into a magical world. The story doesn't just end here, as Leslie unexpectedly drowns to death, which would surprise everyone, and a pivotal character comes to an abrupt end. Then, what was really touching came, Jesse took over the role left by Leslie after the pain and missing. He built a wooden bridge where Leslie drowned, took the little hand of his younger sister Mabel, whom he had always rejected, and brought her to Terabithia, making her the princess here. Mabel was happy to see Terabithia, and the film came to a successful conclusion here. Because Jesse has completed his growth, and this feeling will be passed down endlessly.
To describe these stories, I just want to say that we who have grown up should also watch these films. Although the fairy tale world cannot produce real bread, it can definitely help us wash away the grime from our hearts, or, in other words, lend us another pair of eyes. When complaining about not being able to see the scenery, there are magnificent and fantastic sights here, and when there is no fresh air to breathe, there is a free wind flying here. But there are still too many people who say that there is no use in such fantasies. Either a fool or a lunatic, the boss will not allow you to be in a daze, and the police will not praise you for your innocence. However, at least keep some touches, don't lose everything so quickly, know what warmth is, learn how to maintain love, and life will be easier and happier.
