The endless destruction of the soul by the crusade war should be only part of the director's intention.
What's more important is to stretch and enlarge people at the end of their galloping life and death, and present them in front of every audience. In 115 minutes, those of us who are still gasping can experience the moment before the last stair.
No one will write a biography to tell future generations what kind of complicated process will be experienced in the mind immediately before death, so I am deeply grateful to the director, the proposition discussed in this film is extremely important to me.
It's deeper than a dream that can't be woken up in layers.

  • Jacob: You know you look like an angel, Louie? Like an overgrown cherub. Anyone ever tell you that?

Louis: [smiling] Yeah, you. Every time you see me.

    Jacob: You're a lifesaver, Louie.

    Louis: [smiling] Yeah, I know.

  • Elsa: [reading Jacob's palm] See. According to this, you're already dead.
