In Death Ride, it's some people who are in prison, manipulated by a warden to meet the needs of some people outside the prison. In the live game, these people seem to be voluntary and go through a rigorous process; it seems to give this kind of activity a kind of legitimacy. But in a live-action game, these people are also more controlled than death runners. In the death race, some prisoners have no freedom, but they can get freedom by participating in the death race. During this process, the personalities of these people are generally free. Real-life games, on the other hand, are more direct and powerful, injecting something into the human brain so that people are controlled like characters in the game.
People say that if you are addicted to watching Death Race, you will die; I feel that watching a live-action game is also addicting and you will die, watching some scenes. Check out some great gunfights and some relatively peaceful Sims-like gameplay. Other than that, nothing in the positive sense.
However, if the filmmakers really have any deeper thinking, I think it is their guess about the future society. In the future society, science and technology are highly developed, and as a human being, we can no longer feel anything that can stimulate our interest, so we try to break through the morality to see the world beyond the moral barrier.
