A Coast Guard lifeguard's story.

I love this movie, and a big reason is that the personalities and special friendship of the two male protagonists touched me. None of them are perfect, and it can even be said that they all have psychological barriers that affect their personal lives. But in the end, some people were resolved and continued to live meaningful lives; while some people, buried in the sea, seemed to be liberated.

Fisher question, who should I save first? Randall's answer sounded clear, save the one closest to me or the weakest first, swim to the best of your ability, and leave the rest to the ocean to decide. But in fact, he has been questioning this question in his heart - who should I save first?

The ending arrangement of Randall's self-sacrifice seems a bit old-fashioned, but two weeks later Fisher's discovery sublimates this mutilation - the missing Randall, the fisherman incarnate, the last hope in the sea for the distressed. A cruel ending, but there is still hope in the end.

A charming actor starring KEVIN COSTNER. In particular, Randall, played by him, went to deliver the divorce agreement to his wife after leaving the Coast Guard. At the last farewell, he hugged affectionately, goodbye baby, which was touching.

  • Ben Randall: [reading off his class roster] Fischer. Why are you here, Fischer?

Jake Fischer: I'm here to exceed your expectations, Senior Chief. I'm a rescue swimmer at heart, born, bred, and water-fed. Hoorah!

Ben Randall: [dryly] Wow. I bet you practiced that all morning.

  • Ben Randall: [to his class] Can someone tell me the Rescue Swimmer's Motto?

Jake Fischer: So others may live, Senior Chief!

Ben Randall: Ooohhh, I feel safer already.
