He is the imperfection of the perfection

One of the most important reasons why Austen is so likable is that although she herself has lost a loved one and never married, each of her novels is a comedy ending, and all the heroines and heroines have lived as princes since then. The happy life of a princess, the kind-hearted supporting characters have also found their own suitable partners, and the misbehaving supporting characters have finally come to their senses, and even people with unclear minds have become knowledgeable people. The world is really complete. I love Austin!
So I like Heath Ledger's "Casanova" very much. In this version, the suave Casanova actually fell in love with a not very beautiful but intellectual woman Francesca. After the ups and downs, the playboy recovered and resolutely retired, and since then he has lived a life like a fairy. Even those supporting roles such as Francesca's mother also married the prospective son-in-law who fell in love at first sight, and Francesca's younger brother also married the lover of his dreams, and Casanova's mother also came back in time to rob the magic field. In keeping with the promise to Casanova, everyone gets what they want, and the world is harmonious and complete. It's the essence of Austin's comedy: a happy ending after a mess.
The only unsatisfactory thing is that Heath Ledger died. This handsome guy with both beauty and acting skills left this world so mercilessly. From then on, we can only continue to reminisce about the youth in "Ten Things I Hate About You". He, he was melancholy in "Brokeback Mountain", and he was unruly in "Casanova". It's really not perfect.

I went to Jamie Ellens, but I was attracted by the protagonist~! Love his interpretation of casanova.

All sorts of cute sleazy little bits, just delightful. One star for Alexandre Desplat's soundtrack - the joyous and elegant strings of the era. Venice's real scene and set combination is also not bad. Oh, and the end credits list that little pig as Bimba.
