Reminiscences of Adulthood and Dreams of Childhood

"Astro Boy" is the first Japanese comic book I read when I was a child. At that time, I didn't have the money to buy it, so I borrowed it to read it, so it was very precious. Since then, I have known the author Osamu Tezuka, and learned about his legendary experience. I once admired him very much and wanted to learn to draw manga.

I think many post-80s and post-70s watch this film because they want to get back their childhood memories. Watching the Doraemon movie version being filmed again and again, this "Astro Boy" is indeed a very suitable film. Memories are always good. Fortunately, the movie did not break our good memories. In this sense, our purpose of entering the theater has been achieved.

The story of the film is rooted in the original, but completely out of the original. The production lineup of the multinational force adds new elements to the story that cater to audiences in both East and West. As the earliest cartoon introduced in China, "Astro Boy" has a very wide range of influence in China. In addition to Chinese investors, many Chinese elements are added to the story, and even the "female No. 1" that is not in the original works. from China. As a film that Americans participate in, American heroism is of course indispensable, and the powerful power of Astro Boy fits this theme very well. In addition, the role of the "Governor" added in the film and the plot of his use of force to gain power also seem to allude to the politics of the past in the United States, which is still very useful to Americans who are used to the humor of the Simpsons. From the main line of the story, the film still respects the original book very much. Astro Boy is a robot, but he has the same emotions as a human. In the process of upholding justice, he constantly discovers his potential, and fulfills his mission selflessly and fearlessly. It was a childhood dream of many people to have a bazooka at the foot like Astro Boy, and the eyes can be used as searchlights.

In terms of characters, in addition to Astro Boy, we saw the familiar Dr. Tianma and Dr. Tea Shui, and their shapes are not much different from our previous impressions. The newly added Robot Three Musketeers brought a lot of nonsensical lines to the film. Although there are not many scenes, it is still impressive. As the biggest villain in this movie version, "Governor" has promoted the whole plot, and its status is indispensable. The character who failed was a girl from China. Her scenes were very rigid and her styling was relatively poor, probably to cater to investors from China. As the second villain of the film, Hama is not very good in itself, but the dubbing of Mr. Wang Gang makes this character a bright spot.

Also, I would like to share some strange thoughts after watching the video. First of all, why is the city in the sky called Metropolis so similar to the alien spaceship in "The Ninth District", and it has many similarities with "City in the Sky". I don't know if it's a coincidence or plagiarism. The so-called metropolis isolated from the ground seems to herald the disaster that pollution will bring to the earth, thus giving the film another layer of environmental protection aura. But no matter how you look at it, the floating metropolis feels weird and irrelevant to the story. Secondly, the robot fight in the film is like a copycat version plus a toddler version of "Transformers". The red and blue crystals are like the energy blocks in "Transformers". The eternal theme of robot movies. At the end of the final film, the alien giant octopus invaded, and Astro resolutely threw himself into a new battle. It seems that the Astro series will continue to shoot, and I am really worried that his blue crystals will not be enough.

All in all, this movie successfully projected our childhood hero on the big screen again. Although it seems a bit simple and childish, who would dislike their original dream, after all, that is where we started to grow up.
