the world, the wall

This is a musical film about psychedelic rock master Pink Floyd. For more than ninety minutes, I was shaking physically and mentally, not just cold. All I can say is that Pinker's music and those gloomy shots pierce my heart like shattered glass. Illusion, reality, memory, nightmare, intertwined, entangled, kinked.

Lost the wall. The wall is the main image of the film, which is a metaphor for the national system, the separation between people, the heart wall built by oneself, etc. And all the ontology appeared in this film.

The film begins with a light opera that seems to break, wrapping around the heart like spider silk. A gloomy young man, Pink, lives in an empty room, staring blankly at nothing. Long corridors, depressing spaces, chaotic rooms. A cleaner cleans each room. Pink's room was locked. A heavy door opening. Light pours in. The camera advances, Pink's terrified face, twitching eyes. Begin long memories. His childhood, his father, his family, all his wet memories. Father lost his life in the war, heavy rock and cannon fire. The protesters confronted the police. Pink performs in fascist costumes, still accompanied by the gunfire of World War II, his father dead, the microphone hanging in the air. A devastated battlefield, severely wounded soldiers, rotting corpses, broken bodies dripping with blood.

Pink has been lying in the swimming pool recalling the past, having severe hallucinations. The water in the pool turns into blood, a swirling swirl of blood. He sank and struggled inside. nightmare. Young Pink, playing in front of his father's coffin, didn't understand his father's passing. Lonely Pinker gets snubbed by an adult while playing with his buddies, it's a high wall between people. But it seemed that he was still happy at times. But he has realized the shadow of losing his father. He would often look through his father's uniforms and try them on.

baby's cry. It should be Pink's cry. His mother sat in a chair in a daze. A white dove flew to the blue sky, the music of "Goodbye to the Blue Sky" sounded, and the white dove turned into a black eagle, a blood-red sky. A flying fighter is also a cross. A skeleton in a gas mask struggles in a gloomy graveyard. This is a memory of his father.

Pink and his partner went to the railway to play. Standing in the tunnel, he heard the crashing sound of the rumbling train and the rails. Suddenly, he felt that it was a mysterious wall. Then there's Pinker's school life, the no-nonsense principal, the sluggish teaching, and the students being made into a template. How similar to us. Finally, sausages are produced. The students gradually blurred.

As a teenager, Pink began to fantasize about sex. Beautiful woman undressing outside the window. Little Pink looked out through the binoculars.

Young Pink, feeling the erotic wall. The wine glass was smashed by a foot, and the poured red wine was like blood.

I can't get through to my mother on the phone. Like the phone hanging in the air when my father died. He fell slowly by the wall.

The most noteworthy is the animation inside, very Munch and Dali style. Two Flowers of Desire, also animated, are flirting hot.

When the phone hangs up, Pink's wall is finally built. Skeleton. Screaming skeleton. overcast sky. A towering wall.

Pink's gloom and loneliness has reached its peak, until it collapses. He ignored the sexy girl's questioning. Smash the TV, smash furniture, smash glass, smash everything. Sharp glass shattering. The TV is still playing World War II TV series, and Hitler is showing off his power in it. He stood on the balcony and yelled downstairs. Another swimming pool, erotic whirlpool, blood splattered. Pink sat alone in the room watching a Hitler movie and had hallucinations again. A woman shadow turned into a huge monster. Pinker, who was hiding in the corner, shivered.

Lost the wall. He tried his best to climb up, but the walls were smooth, how could it be possible? Pink's helpless and desperate figure in the mist.

A bomb shelter left over from World War II. Little Pink walked inside, an empty bomb shelter, countless hospital beds. Ambiguous light. My heart was already pounding, and finally he saw a patient inside. He approached slowly, patted the patient on the shoulder, the patient turned back, it was an adult Pink, and a zombie turned back and shouted. Little Pink turned his head and ran, past the pile of corpses.

Pinker shock from a drug overdose, in which he sees his childhood self again in hallucinations, his mother who rejects his adoption of a rat. He saw himself sick and worried about his dead self. Maggots. Creeping maggots. This should be a symbol of himself and others. We all live like maggots. The walking dead, the screaming skeletons, tearing themselves apart.

Pink, dressed in a fascist attire, walked into the floating light. Pattern of two hammers. Pink's concert opens with a grand opening. The hoarse Pinker on the stage, the crazy audience off the stage. He indulged in the fantasy of building his own fascist empire. This reminds me of North Korea now, China in the past, and the Soviet Union in the past. The people in the high walls are the most frenetic.

The wall was finally broken. Bricks, stones, dust splashes.

At the end of the movie, a group of children are playing, and a child is moving bricks and building his own wall. The world turns around.

The camera flashes too fast and is overwhelmed, but it works well with the music. There is almost no dialogue, almost no storyline, just like an unconscious conjecture. Because of this, it caused a huge impact on the heart, and it reached the hearts of the people. Losing the wall is both Pinker's dilemma and everyone's dilemma. Keep growing up, keep building your own heart wall, and strengthen your own mask. There is also a mysterious wall of national autocracy. Haruki Murakami's speech said that he will always stand on this side of the wall, that is, the egg side. And the small town in his novel "The End of the World and the Grim Wonderland" is like a lost wall, never able to get out, without loopholes. And I am losing myself in the high wall.

P.S. Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands in rock history, Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock/Art Rock, founded in 1965 In London, England, he has been active on the rock stage for nearly 30 years and has a profound impact on Western culture. The most famous albums are The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall.

During these 30 years, Pink Floyd has been one of the most innovative bands - creative and technical - in rock, and his sound and image are like a surreal giant painting, constantly Faced with the chaotic spectacle of audiovisual stimulation of stage music, they pushed them to the forefront of the development of musical expression. In the process, it evolved from the hallucinatory 60-minute London stage created by the band in the mid-sixties to one of the most spectacular rock and roll groups in the world. From the outset, the band has unleashed rebellions in unfamiliar places. The most important part of it is lead Syd Barrett's eccentric musical outlook and short-lived songs. When he disappeared from the stage in the late 1960s—and from reality—the band began to become a slavish aggression against music. Subsequent albums feature dense, slow-moving songs by bassist Roger Waters and guitarist David Gilmour, and sweeping keyboardist Richard J. A collaboration between Richard Wright and lingering drummer Nick Mason.

They also include quirky, surreal sound effects: pounding heartbeats, giant footsteps, and other hallucinations that evoke audio-visual sensations. Over the years, music has evolved to produce huge, human-like soundscapes based on the focal point in the song. During the 1970s tour, this vision was gradually carried over to the band's stage performances. At the beginning of the decade, Pink Floyd's performances included scenes such as the flashing of police lights and artificial smoke. The band has also created a precedent in the application of stage technology, that is, it is developing at any time and changing the scene at any time. Pink Floyd was one of the first rock bands to use a quartet vocal system, where many different articulators were placed in different positioning zones to round out the sound. During the performance, the articulation steps start from the back of the stage and go around the audience, either opening the door to the music or slamming it shut if noise interferes with the music. These effects and other devices helped expand the range and effects of rock performers.

Over time, stage decorations have also become more eye-catching and colorful. During Floyd's 1977 tour for the album "Animals," the band danced with barn dancers on a 40-foot stage. During the 1980 tour for the album "The Wall", the stage props set up a brick wall 160 feet long and 30 feet high, which the band dismantled during the performance.
