cliff crash

Haneke once again performed his "cliff crash" stunt, leading the audience on the superficial highway of the suspense film, very concerned about the bizarre plot and slowly moving forward. The ending of emotional relief suddenly came to a cliff, and without waiting for any results, the ending subtitles urged you to leave. "Hidden Camera" is like that, and so is "The Piano Teacher."

Who were these children in the German countryside who were abused before the First World War? Who tied the rope that tripped the doctor? The grim black-and-white images do not give any answers, but they can always feel the oppression of children in a religious authoritarian society, and shudder under the disciplinary power manipulated by extremism.

Marx said in "German Ideology" that it is not consciousness that determines life, but life determines consciousness. Distorted and understand it, it fits perfectly with the connotation of the white ribbon. The lack of understanding of the history of Nazis and violence does not prevent the language of the lens from being overwhelmed. Haneke is my dish. Black and white films can really be used as photography lessons at any time. If it's a stuffy movie, it's just that when we watch it, not only the emotions, but the season and time are not in place.

The first half is too long, resulting in aesthetic fatigue later! But the story behind it really doesn't matter.

The White Ribbon quotes

  • The Doctor: My God, why don't you just die?
