Of course, one of the highlights of this film is that it adopts a child's perspective. The unrestrained imagination of a child's innocence makes some of the seemingly ridiculous parts of the whole film seem reasonable. The whole film probably only has the right description of loneliness. Whether it is the little girl, her parents, or the siblings she met later, and the woman who finally adopted her, they are actually lonely and helpless. As for other descriptions, it seems a little stretched. You have to say that this film describes despair and depravity. When the father brought the girl to the old grandmother's house, the large area of bright straw gave people a bright and cheerful feeling, and two siblings helped the girl clean the house. The haze that was swept away revealed warmth and hope in these two scenes. Of course, the director's focus was not on this. In the end, he didn't go to both extremes, but it made people feel that everything was lacking.
This film is really regrettable. From the beginning to the part where my father was taking drugs at my grandmother's house, it was very emotional and made me look forward to this film, but I was disappointed.
Well, after thinking about it, I came back to add this sentence, maybe, I am too old to lose the fun of "seeing the world with a childlike innocence".
