non-hot-blooded gangster movies

It looks much better than expected. It is worthy of winning so many awards, and it is worthy of beating many popular movies such as A Clockwork Orange to win the Oscar.

What impressed me the most about Hackman was that in Unforgivable, the ruthless policeman in a small western town who did all kinds of evil deeds and was full of faith. Later, he looked more like a scheming villain. He didn't expect to play a policeman like this when he was young. It's lifelike, not the kind of police officer with dark blue eyes and white teeth on the screen who laughs handsomely, nor is he a great hero with muscular brows and deep frowns. Jimmy wants to catch drug dealers, probably just an instinct of the police. , looking at his other behavior, it is difficult to say that he is a good citizen (probably this is why the critics exclaimed how he is so like a policeman, as if he just changed his uniform and came to a poker game).

Two of my favorite scenes, one is the classic car and tram tracking scene in film history, so I won't say much; the other is the tracking and anti-tracking fight between Jimmy and the French old man, especially in the subway. In one scene, I kept trying to get on and off the bus over and over again. At the last moment, Jimmy rushed to the subway. The door was closed. Jimmy smiles easily. Even if he was a drug dealer, he was applauded.

The director's handling is largely realistic, which may be related to the fact that the subject matter comes from real cases. No matter the method of handling the case (such as raiding a bar in Brooklyn, the method of questioning is rude and arrogant, and the words do not match. For example, Jimmy was targeted by a sniper, but he killed a pedestrian with a child beside him, Jimmy did not hesitate at all. It looks like, even as if the deceased around him doesn't exist, immediately go after the prisoner; there is no other film that catches a big fuss about Jimmy's psychological state because of his own intuition error and the death of his companion, oh ye, this is the best place. I really hate that some movies are constantly grumbling about psychological trauma. It's still the character of the police officer (this is completely expressed through daily actions, Jimmy is a typical American policeman, although I don't know what the American policeman looks like in reality, but probably Just like Jimmy), there is absolutely no feeling of blood or sublime or dark or tragic in ordinary police and gangster movies, but it does not prevent us from being excited or nervous or laughing when watching.
