This is really a brilliant movie.

I cannot say I agree with everything Bill said, but basically I agree with his idea: there is no God at all.

Honestly, I can never understand how come a chinese person over 20 years old who has never I assume such a person may either suffer a blow or do it just as a pragmatist.

For me, different religions are just different philosophies. They often have something in common, like "being good to your neighbor", and more often they provide me different perspectives to see the world. But they are not 100% truth. I accept some of their ideas, like love and tolerance, but try to make me believe in resurrection and walk on water? No way.

Religulous quotes

  • Tal Bachman: [an ex-Mormon] In the founding scriptures, you open the doctrine covenant, you read the autobiography of Joseph Smith. He quotes Jesus Christ as telling him that every other creed on Earth is, quote, an abomination. That's not a very ecumenical statement.

  • Bill Maher: The idea that Christianity is American, I think, is an amazing entitlement to a people who are always trying to meld God and country.

Bill Gardiner: The Garden of Eden was in Missouri, according to Mormonism. The new Jerusalem will be there.

    Bill Maher: Branson, I hope.
