Human nature is restless, and even in a rigid and dogmatic environment, it is impossible to train a cookie-cutter good child. The opposite is true - there are no good children in the world!
What is art to an art seller? One buy and one sell, and that’s it. Before she could find out where the artistic value lies, the shelf art as a commodity has already changed hands again.
Back at home, Sue is a senior OL with a straight face. Once she embarks on a journey, the restless factor hidden in the professional suit will be eager to try. But she is still restrained. The routine of life over the years has filled every pore of her with lead. At most, she is allowed to open the door to peep at her nature, but she does not loosen the shackles that imprison her steps. Her desire is just around the corner, but she will never be able to complete the breakthrough by herself, because even she herself has denied her right to breakthrough.
Just touch it! Then go!
Sue tried to draw a line with the man, and at the same time was testing whether she had enough urge to take another step. It's a pity that she didn't have it at the time, so the relatively perfect one night love didn't appear, replaced by the tidbit-style passion in the laundry room. Even if it is destined to be unbearable, it is still required to be subtle when it happens. That's it! So long!
Is Mike naughty? Yes! He does not meet the handsome boy standard, does not obey the one night law, as he said at the end of the credits: I was a kid. He is ridiculously childish, even a little sad. In his vain attempt to win over the beauty with just two nights and two bottles of fine wine, regardless of the initial motive, he has already started to act without even further consideration of the consequences. His head was as empty as the parking lot in front of a hotel, and his character was as messy as the weeds behind the house. He is ignorant of the world, and lives in a small country hotel. When he sees a phoenix crossing a branch, he is lucky enough to pick up a feather that someone left at will, just like picking up a "meteor over the wall". He succeeded, thanks to Sue's budding affection; he failed, and what he got was what he lost.
A foolish boy can fly to a big city without thinking, even with empty pockets, in pursuit of a dream lover who has never shown any attachment. How can we evaluate a man who dares to spend all his savings to buy a one-way ticket to love?
Mike lives in his own fairy tale, compiling what he thinks is the perfect logic of love. His thoughts and actions were not commensurate with the age represented by the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes. He should have married a local girl and gave birth to a child with freckles. Every day, he sat at the counter holding a newspaper and waited to inherit the family business. However, he did not follow the social characterization and resolutely chose to travel thousands of miles to find love. . Who can hit the road without knowing the destination? Who can go to another country without a bank card? Who is willing to step out of the small circle that has been stuck for many years for the woman who met by chance? Mike was ridiculously childish, so childish that it made all men feel ashamed.
A fairy tale is more than just a fairy tale, and its meeting point with reality is not so lovely.
When you suddenly see the world soberly, it is the time when the world collapses.
After embarking on the journey again and again, prying open the exposed gaps in Sue's body, Mike finally got a taste of the disgrace. One sentence is enough to dismiss all arguments, and one fact is enough to break all insistence. Even if you can create countless reunions that are less romantic and more unexpected, even if you still have the energy to pick up your luggage again, a man's courage will eventually collapse one day. That's when you see your childishness clearly, and that's when the man in your heart dies.
The final success belongs to the idiots, which is a bit too Hollywood. Sue's naughty fingers slid down Mike's ass, finally completing the love affair. Sue has also become naive, the only way to connect with true love. While less romantic, it does draw the perfect circle. I have to admit, I couldn't help laughing when I saw Mike hugging Sue. Anyone who isn't vicious to a certain level will be happy with this ending, and so am I. Although it was a predictable ending, it was still heartwarming.
After reading the fairy tale and seeing the beauty of the countryside, I am glad that Mike didn't "evolve" into a robot like his father, and I am glad that Sue didn't bow his head to the reality and seek perfection. The naive man was immature in the end, but he changed the lives of two people: a woman who almost forgot to pursue, and a father who had no idea what to pursue.
So, let's all be childish! Wanting to change lives - your own and others - is more powerful than a naive attachment to a rational toughness. Even if everyone thinks you are a joke, you can still find the footprints of fairy tales.
