Rebirth of Humanity

The best way to interpret human nature is to represent it, but the best way to represent it is an open debate. Humanity can only exist in people, so what is without humanity? The only answer that can be given is that it is not human.

To be honest, I was really happy when I learned that Tim is the producer of this film, and I was hooked when I thought of this guy's classic "Zombie Bride" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas", so I had high expectations for "9" of. However, after all, the director is a newcomer and not Tim himself, so even if there is Tim's producer, even if there is Tim's looming style, it is not a Tim's movie after all. The scene of the robot counterattack reminded me of "War of the Worlds" involuntarily, but the plot is not compact enough to drag Tata, and the foreshadowing is not buried enough. Even one sentence, this film has more than enough strength, but the director's strength is not enough. It needs to be improved, and the screenwriter's strength needs to be improved.

Of course, the purpose of this article is to explore its theme: human nature, technology and living issues.

The background setting of the film is somewhere on the earth after the war. The war between humans and robots has been defeated. To be precise, humans have been gassed to destroy the entire race, and there are few robots left. 9 was born as the last work of a scientist. In this desolate world, he saw 2, and 2 installed him with parts that could make sounds. However, 2 was taken away by the robot in order to protect 9. 9 took 5 to the factory in order to save 2, but unexpectedly awakened the ultimate robot (let's call it the producer below), killing 2. Then 9 led the other cloth robots through hardships, discovered the secret of why they exist, and finally defeated the producers. In the end, the soul of the dead Xiaobu people was released, and a long-lost rain fell on the world, and in the raindrops, there was a glowing green substance.
Many people watched this film and cried out, because an inexplicable story was told in nearly 80 minutes. Some people think that if 9 does not appear, then the producers will not be awakened, and then there will be no battle, and the cloth robots will not die. This is indeed an "insightful" view that I don't quite agree with. If you understand the cause and effect of the film, you will know that all this is actually a revival plan of scientists. The producer is made by scientists, but scientists only endow it with wisdom, but not with soul. This is the inherent reason why it will be used militarily and eventually eat back at humanity. The external reason is the unstoppable desire of human beings, which led to this disaster. In fact, is it not a modern version of Noah's Ark that machines will wipe out human beings (this is a metaphor for the church icons and oil paintings that occasionally appear in the film)? It's just that the flood turned into a robot, and the one who survived was a little cloth doll. Then, during the decryption process, 9 learned that the so-called treasure was actually the scientist himself. It turned out that scientists made these nine cloth robots to make up for all this. According to the production sequence, he gave them names, and they had different personalities from one to nine-according to the scientist, he gave his soul to these nine cloth robots. These nine little things represent 1—power and conservation, 2—curiosity and wisdom, 3, 4—childhood and knowledge, 5—caring and action, 6—foreseeing and perseverance, 7—courage and resistance, 8—courage And stupid, 9 - faith and hope. These nine personalities are actually the portrayal of nine different human natures, and everyone has them. It's not enough to just stop the analysis here. There are two more important points to pay attention to. One is the production order, and the other is who survived the last.

First, about the production order. No. 1, the first to be produced, is the oldest, has a strong sense of entitlement and rests on its laurels. In fact, most of this is a portrayal of modern people, who are satisfied with the stable status quo and do not want to make progress. The next No. 2, kind and daring to explore, but curiosity killed the cat, it was the first to sacrifice. It also reflects a different group of modern humans, sing-along but always being suppressed by those in power (more powerful robots). 1 and 2 together reflect the human nature of people in modern society. Let's look at the twins 3 and 4, naive and a little naughty. . They are protected by other people, their curiosity is actually no less than 2, because they symbolize children and simple, they finally survive. 5 is a contradiction. It's acquired imperfection makes it a little timid, but it cares about friends and gives others the help they need. It has the style of ordinary people in troubled times. 6 is a "crazy" guy who draws the same words all day long. He is persistent and stubborn. This is an indispensable part of human nature. Only by being alone can you have true knowledge. 7 is a woman, the first to resist, strong and strong, and does not succumb to the restraint of 1. Wei Wei has a feminist flavor, but the bravery it represents is the most precious quality of human beings for thousands of years. As for 8, it's not an exaggeration to call him a stupid big man. Kong has all the strength but surrenders to his own desires, which is very stupid. 9. Having a firm belief that ultimately brings hope and peace - even at the cost of life, it does. In this way, the production order of the nine villains is actually the retrograde of human evolution - from power, back to the power of belief. Immediately, human nature is clearly presented in front of the viewers, with a clear view.

Second, the 3, 4, 7, 9 that are finally alive. Power is dead, curiosity is sacrificed, contradictory action ceases, stubborn persistence disappears, the powerful and brainless cease to exist, and what remains is innocence, knowledge, courage, and faith (hope). At this point, the main theme of the film is on the paper. If humans want to live and live well, what kind of human support is needed, presumably, you have the answer.

Finally, the green moving substances in the transparent raindrops, I think, are a symbol of new life. After all, the ancestors of human beings also started to grow from cells thousands of years ago. The surviving little people will witness that after a few years, those substances evolve, multiply, and finally complete the reincarnation of Noah's Ark.
