the last vampire

The story takes place in 1970 at the Kanto military base in Japan. The seemingly ordinary 16-year-old girl Xiao Ye (played by Jun Zhixian) is actually a hybrid born between a vampire mother and a human father. At the same time, she is also a vampire hunter on a mission. 400 years to perform this mission. But because of the dual identities of human and vampire, troubles and contradictions always surround her. She infiltrated the high school of the U.S. military stationed in Japan and used her superhuman strength and swordsmanship to take down one vampire after another. She has a premonition that this time is a perfect opportunity to meet the vampire leader (Kato Koyuki), her father's enemy. In high school, she met the daughter of a senior U.S. military officer and formed a strong friendship. In the final fight, she killed her mother but was also the leader of the vampires.

The storyline of this film is very simple, so it can only be supplemented by special effects in order to make the film look good. But it's no wonder that this film was originally adapted from Japanese comics. The comics of our eastern neighbor were originally very empty, and it would not be much better to change it into a movie. Although there are many special effects, the effect is average, and the fighting scenes are really really hard to compliment. No matter who the opponent is, how many, how to fight, it will always be the same set of slow motion switching, and the blood sprayed out is all spherical. I don’t know if I can’t bear to spend more money on special effects. In the film, Quan Zhixian did not have the youth, cuteness, beauty, and sexiness of the past at all. Instead, it was just an expression and an action. This kind of performance is really unreasonable. I really don't know what she thought when she took the show, she simply destroyed her image. But even so, I still prefer her look. Without Jun Ji-hyun, after watching it, I don't know how many times I would have scolded the main creator of this film. A completely meaningless film (because you have a virtuous sister, it cannot be called a bad film)! Waste of time, waste of money!

  • Michael Harrison: Well, you know the old saying; "When the hungry demons feed without discretion..."

    Saya: "Onegin is near."

  • Onigen: You think the more demons you kill the more human you become, don't you? How naïve.
