The title is too scary

The simple informant story is better than the real historical background, the so-called big and small characters, full of emotion, also thanks to the performance of Jim Sturgess and Ben Kingsley. It's just that the rhythm of the movie is really bad, there is almost no climax at all, and it ends hastily.
This heroic story of ups and downs, ups and downs, full of idealism and romance, in the end, it is a sacrifice under the blending. Martin and Fergus are just two of the chess pieces. No matter who is white or black, they have never planned to save, but in the name of justice, they are secretly calculating pros and cons for their own benefit. When needed, chess pieces can of course be used as bargaining chips, and it is normal to use them to coerce or betray them. At this point, the ruthlessness of the British authorities seems more contemptible than the bloodthirsty of the IRA.

  • Fergus: The price of a conscience is death. None of us can afford it.

  • Mickey: You're reliable, and that counts for everything in life... You know who you remind me of?

Martin: I don't remind you of anybody because I'm not like anybody else... My ma always said I'm like one in a million... A million. That's what my ma always told me I was.

Mickey: Aye, you're full of shit.

Martin: Who do I remind you of?

    Mickey: Wee Aggie.

    Martin: Who's Aggie?

Mickey: I wouldn't trust him with my wife, but I trust him with my life.
