Jude Max Lucy Sidie Prudence •••The faces of a group of typical post-war Western youths, unscrupulous, daring to love and hate, innocent and frivolous, sad like poetry. Of course, Lucy is an exception. She has a strong moral atmosphere. When she first came to New York, she was not used to it. Her moral awareness made her reject and despise others. Later, she seemed to integrate into Jude's world, but it was only a temporary carnival. The parade speaker, she is convinced by him, this is determined by the orthodox complex in her bones, love can give way to all justice, her moral rhetoric becomes her best shield, I see her going to her work unit because of Jude Feeling irritated and ashamed at times, she is really an impure person, and face seems to be more important to her. In the end, everyone was happy, but I didn't take it seriously. People are really attracted by what they don't have. Why does Jude love Lucy? Beautiful? inevitable factor. Innocent? good? That's how the moral factor in Lucy comes into play, and that's what distinguishes Lucy from everyone else in Jude's eyes. Across the Universe quotes

  • Jude: What is that place?

Prankster: The headquarters of the league of spiritual deliverance!

Dr. Robert: The home of Dr. Gary, another outlaw, like myself. We're navigators, we're aviators, we're eatin' tators, masturbatin' alligators, bombardiers, we got no fears, we don't shed no tears, we're pushin' the frontiers... of transcendental perception. What's weird is, we haven't met yet, on this or any other plane.

Prankster: Hey doc, he says he won't see you, man.

Dr. Robert: Why, is he sick?

Prankster: He just said he's busy.

Dr. Robert: Did you tell that

    [sniff]

Dr. Robert: sonofabitch that we drove 3,000 miles to see him? Alright, everybody back on the bus. We're going home, to California.

Max: Doc, California isn't home to all of us.

Dr. Robert: What can I say? You're either on the bus, or off the bus.

  • Mr. Kite: It's me!

    [music blast]

    Mr. Kite: In the thing!
