A screening room as small as a European hotel room at the Kuriki Cinema would have been perfect for this movie. The rhythm of a typical European literary film makes people who love niche films feel at home, and allows American people who grew up watching Hollywood films to take a nap. I didn't yawn. The rhythm dragged just right to the extremes of my concentration. Every time I feel like I'm starting to look around, the shots switch just in time. The editors are very talented. to my taste. The simple story, complex character psychology, and unexpected plot kept me from feeling boring and procrastinating. In the style of the Coen brothers. When I felt that the story was basically finished, I didn't expect that the second half had just begun. Scenes range from violent and sexual cities to quiet, laid-back, repressive rural life. The psychological activities of the characters are more intense and tense. The violence and cold humour would have been more exaggerated if the Ken brothers had been filmed. There are almost no violent scenes here, and the two sex scenes are also indispensable to the theme. It's just that everything in the film is very different from the Vienna I imagined, where the opera houses are everywhere. I quite like the ending, which makes one wonder what the fates and decisions of these characters will be. Nice movie.
