Brilliant material, but tastes like shit

It is rare to see unsightly musicals. After all, wonderful music and dance can make up for most of the deficiencies of the film; similarly, inspirational films for youth growth are also powerful tools that can be adjusted by everyone. Everyone knows that this kind of film is a form of service for the purpose. Yes, the plot doesn't have to be new and strange, as long as handsome guys and beauties show up, everything will be done.

However, this movie that gathers these two major selling points really does not have the effect of 1+1 greater than 2.

In my opinion, the opening of the film is still good, the music and the pictures are edited together, especially the first meeting of the big and small male protagonists, there are small surprises. But as the plot unfolded, the quality of the movie declined.

The old-fashioned plot does not mean that it can be shoddy. For such a movie that is said to be based on real events, on the one hand, you can take the easy route and focus on the learning process of singing and dancing. You can grit your teeth and take the line of realism and dig deep into the psychology of the characters. Either side is a clear road. However, the director and screenwriter of this film are greedy with both left and right hands, which makes the film four dissimilarities (more precisely, two dissimilarities, huh, huh).

On the one hand, we saw the middle-aged handsome guy dancing sexy, thinking that the director was going to take the song and dance route, but until the end of the film, we didn't understand how these students learned to dance. Except for a few classes in the form of walking, there are only a few sets of scenes similar to MV. It shows the process of their practice; when you think that singing and dancing are just a coat, and the screenwriter and director want to give the film more thoughtfulness, you find that the whole story does not deeply explore the character and fate of any one person (even except for the male and female protagonists). In addition, the other children don't even have names), all the "bad" students want to learn well from the bottom of their hearts, let alone sin, not even a bit of rebellion, all roles are roles for roles. With the plot setting so unconvincing, it's no surprise that the young actors' poor performances.

In fact, there are many more bad movies than this one. The reason why I want to say a few more words is because I feel sad that the screenwriter and director have ruined such a good subject. Commenting in honor of my struggle between the unbearable plot and the beautiful singing and dancing throughout the film.
