Although unlike the later Lucia Lover who built the palindromic narrative to the point of inexhaustible, the Arctic Circle Lover still has the exquisiteness of adding a point and decreasing it. There have been countless comments about how the director played with the most private secret words in the hearts of lovers, allowing them to meet or leave each other in seemingly coincidences again and again, no need to repeat them.
This is one of the few romance films that touches me, it's not a story about missing out and one step away from happiness, it's just another if love has a will or left to right. It is written about the end that was doomed early in the morning and the same destination.
Here we are persistently waiting for your return, ignoring other paths, but no matter what, whether it is moving or not, a dead end is the only necessity, just as time is the only reality.
What I lament is that any eternal love or eternal loneliness is unacceptable.
