A super love story

It's a light-hearted, super-simple romance, where the commercial espionage is just the stuff of a love war between Julia Roberts and Tom Wilkinson.

The two clearly love each other but they are suspicious of each other, and neither of them wants to be the first to reveal their true feelings. Even though things have already been done, they always want to compile the interface to make duplicity and hide their deep attachment. Their bodies surrendered before their minds, and the three days of darkness in Rome had already made them indistinguishable from each other. The attempt to stay a little longer is always made to look like a deliberate sabotage of the other party's good things. In the battle of love, neither of them would be the first to admit defeat, because each knew that the other was a spy. The most dangerous thing a spy can do is to have genuine affection on a mission. Julia was always wondering if he was sincere or just acting like other missions, and Tom Wilkinson was also terrified of waking up and fainting in bed one morning, so they put in nine points and one point. No one wants to reveal their hole cards first.

They met in Dubai, met in Rome, met in London, parted in Miami, and finally confessed to each other in Zurich. They are so special and so similar to each other that no one except each other is sure that they will find the second person in the world who knows each other so well. Tired of the days of being on guard against each other, trying to be honest and honest. Compromising with each other without surrender may be better.

This movie does not have to care too much about the rationality of the plot development, and carefully appreciate the rivalry of Julia Roberts and Tom Wilkinson who love each other but are suspicious of each other. As far as the film is concerned, the two of them are indiscriminate.

The deepest spy was planted, which the director had already vaguely revealed in hindsight. It will be clear who owns the potted plants and Tang suits with Chinese elements in the film. Just like the fight between the bosses at the beginning, the fingers are messed up and the saliva is splashing, the simple farce has set the tone from the very beginning.

Duplicity quotes

  • Claire Stenwick: How do I know you?

Ray Koval: How do you know me? Wow! That's a strong play. Believe me, I spent a lot of time thinking what this would be like. Where it'd be, what I'd say, what you'd say, but I never thought it...

Claire Stenwick: I'm sorry, I just...

Ray Koval: You really wanna go this way?

Claire Stenwick: Look you clearly have me confused with someone else.

Ray Koval: I don't know. I'm not great on names. I should be. I try. Faces I'm definitely better. I'm like a B, B-. Where I'm good, where I really excel, people I have slept with. That's been a traditional area of strength of me.

  • Ray Koval: So how long are you gonna keep me waiting?

    Claire Stenwick: Excuse me?

Ray Koval: I'm dying over there

    Claire Stenwick: Where?

Ray Koval: There by the Ben Franklin potato salad pavilion

Claire Stenwick: I'm sorry, are we supposed to know each other?

Ray Koval: Definitely. I'm mean we're supposed to. We don't, but we should.
