11-year-old black girl's spiritual world
every time she thinks of him, she spells it.
Every thought has turned into an infinite source of power.
A simple letter, with the beat or jumping rhythm, spells countless long or short words
. The power of language?

Our deepest fear is not lack of ability,
our deepest The fear is that the ability transcends the limit.

Since you have talent and accumulation, why are you ashamed to show yourself in front of the camera? Since you have a high-level coach, why should you face the boring spelling alone? Open your heart, Latin roots, French roots, Greek roots, the speeches of the presidents and the monuments of the poets and warriors, did little Akira get more than the glory given by the language?
The result is just a gift, the process is the gift from heaven. The bright and friendly kisses between children, the warmth and patience from 50,000 coaches, the tight hugs of fathers and daughters who have also lost their loved ones, the worries and forgiveness of mothers, and even the coldest glaciers are competing against each other. It is explained in concession, care and co-prosperity that even if the ending is not a win-win situation, it is a good story, isn't it?

Maybe some of the plots and bridges fall into the clichés,
but the charm of a good movie is not only in the skills, grand scenes and ups and downs of the plot. I want to
cut off the embellishment, what we most want to see is not the real touching and self-confidence. Warm
in this closed and self-isolated world, when I was drowning in piles of books and legal words,
I came across such an inspirational film for children.
Probably as Lao Luo said, I have to watch a few "successful studies" in time to get a dose. Morphine bars
are more of a heartwarming tip by comparison.

Ask yourself, what kind of person do you want to be
famous, wise, genius, great?
Actually, what kind of thing you can't do?

While watching this film, I kept thinking of Ah Zhao, who always called on us to recite the words and play when we had nothing to do. Maybe there is nothing outstanding about this film, but it always makes me want to look down.

Akeelah and the Bee quotes

  • [last lines]

Akeelah: You know that feeling where everything feels right? Where you don't have to worry about tomorrow or yesterday, where you feel safe and know you're doing the best you can? There's a word for that, it's called love. L-O-V-E.

  • Mr. Welch: So whoever wins the school bee today gets to represent Crenshaw at the district bee next month.

Akeelah: Why would anybody want to represent a school where they can't even put doors on the toilet stalls?

    [coughing]

Mr. Welch: Akeelah, if we can't show students can perform, we're not going to have money for books, let alone bathroom doors.

    [pause]

Mr. Welch: Now, I want you to do the bee today, okay?

Akeelah: So everyone can call me a freak and a brainiac? No, I ain't down for no spelling bee.

Mr. Welch: Well, maybe you'd be down for spending the rest of the semester in detention for all your absences?
