The story is simple and common, and is said to be based on real events. The director added the symbolic meaning of "Exodus" to the play, making the whole film reflect a solemn and sacred meaning.
I am deeply sympathetic to what happened to the Jews during World War II. They lost almost everything, but they have always maintained their dignity.
So is "The Pianist"; so is "Life Is Beautiful"; so is "Rebel".
