Iggy Pop and Tom Waits are so funny

I finally saw all of Jim Jarmusch's short films, Coffee and Cigarettes is his short film collection, 11 black and white stories, 11 groups of character relationships, JJ's cold but not revealing sense of humor and the subtleties of human nature The performance is vivid, and perhaps such short films (including the one in Ten Minutes of Ageing) are the essence of his films, and they are not as obscure as Lynch's short films.

The cast is full of stars, most of them are old faces who have appeared in his movies (or will appear in his movies), and they are all played by himself, and there are many musicians, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, White Stripes The two, Wu Tang-Clan's GZA and RZA, make the film seem like a big gathering of the Jarmusch family. My favorites are Tom Waits and Iggy Pop, and Alfred Molina and Steve Coogan (24 Hour Party People). The nuances of the characters' hearts are not so deeply and delicately portrayed, but they highlight his extraordinary sense of humor. , from this point of view, Tom Waits and JJ are very similar (does anyone else think Tom Waits looks like James Hetfield?)

Cate Blanchett played two roles in her part, I really didn't see it, no wonder I When I watched it, I was not sure which one was her. I liked it!

Coffee and Cigarettes quotes

  • Bill Murray: [Coughs] Doc, what could I do for this cough?

RZA: Shit, I was just thinking about that. Check this out: you get some hydrogen peroxide...

Bill Murray: We got that for cuts and stuff.

RZA: ...take fifty percent hydrogen peroxide, fifty percent water. You gargle with it. Do *not* swallow. You spit it out. Don't swallow, Bill Murray.

GZA: And if that doesn't work, try oven cleaner.

Bill Murray: We got that in the back, too.

  • Tom: Well... we could go to Taco Bell if that's more your style.

Iggy: You callin' me a Taco Bell kind of guy?
