On March 28, 2002,

a sentimental writer's fascination with creation and life, the return of two unusual loves, and three people who lost their way; constitutes a psychedelic thriller like fragments. Beautiful scenery, charismatic protagonist, creative story structure, leisurely and beautiful soundtrack make up this artwork.

The great thing about this story is its ending, because it doesn't have an ending. There is a hole, and if you fall into it, you have to go back to the middle of the story. The interweaving of truth and fiction can be put together in the end, and it becomes true, but it can return to the middle of the story, and everything becomes false again. This kind of falsehood is the wonderful thing about life. Just like a novel, the plot can be whimsical, it's up to you to decide or try. Although the world is small, but things are often wonderful, no need to be attached?

This story is by no means absurd, but the more you see it, the more thought-provoking it is. Although the progress of the story is very slow, it can capture the hearts of the audience. At every step, I want to know what the next step will be? In 128 minutes, it can continue to attract people to concentrate on watching it. Watching what gourd and what medicine it sells, it feels like reading a novel. It will always hold your heart, and it will add unexpected plots.

The film is in Spanish, titled "Lucia y el Sexo", English translation "SEX AND LUCIA", Chinese translation "Lucia's Lover". Or the English translation is more appropriate than the Chinese translation, because it can best capture the spirit of the film - "sex" and "love" (LUCIA stands for no, brave love).

The sex scene takes up a lot of time early in the film, as much as talking about the mysterious desert island. Use the most beautiful natural objects, such as the moon, to set off, symbolize human nature and wildness, and rationalize the relationship between all the characters in the play; temporarily reject it from the door of morality; at the same time, the moon is also a symbol of each time and space in the film. Connect the scene. That island is a symbol of people's repression, desire, and whims about "sex": the male protagonist has crazy sex with a strange woman there (beautifully shot, it is a display of the "harmony" between people and between heaven and people ), the feeling is profound and unforgettable; the hostess of the hut on the island has a relationship with others marked "sex without love". On the island, "sex" is unobstructed and free, and "love" should be the same. If you want to love, you should be brave to love.

Sex and Lucía quotes

  • Carlos: This really isn't an island.

    Lucía: It isn't?

Carlos: It's a giant lid. A floating piece of earth. Like a raft.

    Lucía: But it isn't moving.

Carlos: People get dizzy here during high tide. And no one knows why.

    Lucía: Except you.

Carlos: I've dived underneath the whole island. It's totally hollow. Thousands of caves, but nothing else. Not a single rock connects it to the sea floor.

  • Pepe: [At Lorenzo's birthday party] Well, the baby girl was born in Madrid. But she was conceived on a beach, on an island, a night like tonight, with a stranger from Madrid. It was his birthday. If you write this well, it'll be the story of your life. And my birthday gift to you.
