Gomorra

In Europe, Gomorrah (the famous Neapolitan Mafia) brought down all other criminal organizations. In the past 30 years, 4,000 people have been killed, an average of one person every three days. Scampia is the world's largest drug dealer, with families earning an average of 500,000 euros a day. If the family-managed waste were to accumulate 14,600 meters, Mount Everest would be only 8,850 meters high. Cancer rates increased by 20 percent in polluted areas. Proceeds from illegal activities are also used for legitimate investments worldwide. Gomorrah was also involved in the reconstruction of the World Trade Center.

I'm a die-hard fan of The Godfather, and even the third installment, which is often referred to as the sequel, is often talked about. The Corleone family has Sicilian ancestry, and they brought the Italian family-style Mafia operation to the United States to complete the hegemony. If you want to say that "promoting" violence in the movie is actually to better "resist" it, it is pure nonsense. "Sin City" is a very extreme example, there can only experience the pleasure of no taboo. So after watching so many gangster movies, in fact, few of them reflect as much as Radio and Television hoped.

Similar to "City of God", "Gomorrah" also focuses on the various people in a city. But "Gomorrah" is also very different from similar films, because if it weren't for the skin color of the main actors in the film, I can't imagine that this is happening in the birthplace of modern civilization, Europe. If "The Godfather" shows us the glossy appearance of the Italian mafia, then "Gomorrah" makes us feel that there is actually filth inside.

Children are the main characters in the movie because they are the sun at eight or nine in the morning, and they are the future of the city. In the movie, we see the takeaway boy's downfall. Because he was in such an environment all day long, with gang fights and drug trafficking everywhere, he didn't know that there was still a "right way" to learn knowledge and culture in the world. In his cognition, only by joining the mafia can you earn money and live. All he can show is indifference to murder, drugs, pointing his pistol, and he probably won't live to be 20 years old. The shirtless dudes who adore Tony Montana, they are the most likely outcome of the delivery boy.

At the same time, the film also tells about a burly cleric. That's what I knew at the beginning of the film, and I thought he was at least a social worker. Later, I hardly saw a policeman here, even in Brazil there is "Elite Force". There are gang struggles in the local area, and the "social worker" is actually a "buyer" of a gang. He regularly subsidizes some neutral families with teenage males on the condition that they cannot join the other's gang. The "social worker" is burly because he wears a bulletproof vest every day when he goes out. He is gentle, maybe he was originally an accountant. In the film, the "social worker" line and the tailor line have "serious" jobs, and they all try to avoid local violence in some way, but they are all unsuccessful.

Waste accumulation is an alternative environmental theme in the film, and it is the only branch that is different from violence. The father of the young man is proud that his son has a decent job. But he didn't know that his son's job was to transfer violence directly to the city, and the impact of this violence was no less than guns and knives.

What did Mogra bring? This may be its attractive place. But I think it takes courage to watch this movie. The scary thing in the film is not the bloody wind brought about by the war film. But it makes people feel that death at any time is a terrible thing. One shot solved a life. It's like coming to this world for nothing.
