love the ending - spoiler

I just watched this movie for johnny at first, and didn't have much hope for the Ripper theme. Nothing more than the bloody, violent, perverted, and perpetually foggy streets of 19th-century London. However, as the plot unfolded, I became interested in things other than johnny's handsome appearance. First of all, the identity of the Ripper has a specific explanation in this film. It is not novel, but it is still relevant-a cult is indeed suitable for this dark subject. By the way, when I saw the murderer preparing for the murder, I almost thought it was another "Secret Window" -- a schizophrenic and perverted murder. . . Second, I feel like there are a lot of transitions in the whole movie that really caught my eye. . . A transition that fits the atmosphere. The end is the end. . In fact, when I saw the ending, I felt that this was a non-repeatable thing worth watching. Until the last moment, I really couldn't bear to believe that the detective never went to find Mary. Even in the detective's last dream about his sweetheart, I hoped again and again that little Alice would follow the detective, and they hugged in relief. . But no, there is only a drowsy and lonely death when not dreaming or awake.

    [he pulls down his pants]

Polly's John: Gotta get the old man hard first.

Polly Nichols: Give it here. I'll put it in meself!

    Polly's John: Is that in?

Polly Nichols: Of course it is. Come on!

Polly's John: No, it's not. Ya got it stuck between yer bleedin' legs!

Polly Nichols: [frustratingly] No, I haven't! Come on!
