There are two lines, light and dark, in this film. The bright line is the protagonist's own memories, and the dark line is the path. The first is the protagonist riding a car through a small road, the love between his parents under that small road, and the re-passing when he brought his father back in the final stage.
The film's use of filming skills can be described as the pinnacle. In the scene where the parents meet for the first time, there is a recurring description of the mother being attracted to the father's sunny smile for the first time. She showed the feeling of a girl who wanted to meet her father's eyes but was shy towards her father. I believe that those who have seen it will not forget the big blue and white porcelain bowl when my mother delivered the meal. It prominently shows that the mother put a lot of effort into the father's meal at that time. Another memorable place is that when my father ate the public dinner for the first time, my mother leaned on the threshold wearing red clothes and was exposed to the sun. I believe that my father's feeling for my mother was determined at that moment.
The finishing touch is the use of color. Use B/W/color alternating light and warm colors. In the real space, the black and white pictures are used, and the sadness of the mother to the father permeates from it. In the past, time and space were processed in color, and in a warm-toned style. The mother's red cloth jacket is always interspersed in the parents' love process. After my father returned to the county seat, when my mother waited for my father on the appointed day, the white snow in the sky gave people the feeling of disappointment. But here it gives the impression that only the mother's dedication to the father is impressive.
I would like to use this article to commemorate the pinnacle of director Zhang Da's work.
