I read it today. It happened to be July 4th, Adams and Jefferson also died on July 4th.

I feel that the book is better than the TV series. The line of his family story on TV is more important than the historical background. It is estimated that the director wants to humanize the historical characters Adams' achievements are not prominent enough on TV. Abigail's writing and insight are not prominent enough. The choice of hero and heroine could be better.

The book says that Benjamin Franklin's French is not very good.
