Franklin~~
It turned out to be really a romance~~
I watched it at the beginning~~I decided to go down and watch it~~
Then I saw the introduction and said it was a romance~~I don’t really believe it~~
Seriously~~No. I can't believe the last scene~ it's a romance~
but it's really a romance~~ just~ it's a romance worth watching~

I don't really want to tell the story~~
because of the plot Very messy~~ One and a half hours~~ Only at the end did I realize it~
The first feeling was that I was fooled by the director~~ But let’s talk about other things apart from love~ Four

people~~~ or everyone~~~ I can't figure
out~~Who is the madman~~~
And then when one person is in the wrong place with another person~~The angle changes again~~
There seems to be a line~~But I can't catch it~~~

One is for my own Creativity~~ A young woman who commits suicide once a month~~
A young man who is trapped in love~~ A young man with mild madness ~~
An old man who is chasing his murderer’s son ~~ (I always thought he was a madman too, I didn’t expect it He's the so-called normal person)
and Franklin, the only non-believer living in "the city".

I don't really understand the meaning of everyone's appearance,
but the word that appears most frequently in the movie attracts me~~Faith~~~
In the movie~There are two parallel worlds (although everyone says so, but I prefer I believe that was Franklin's madness)
One is London, where almost everyone has lost their faith, and the
other is a 'time city' where almost everyone is surrounded by unknown beliefs.
So what is it?

I have been thinking, the society I live in~ Our generation is a generation that has completely lost faith~
If whoever stands on the school podium now shouts out~~I want freedom~~I am afraid I will be despised to death by everyone~
Then are we really free? Or just become numb, or just think enough is enough~
Is it because of the lack of faith~~ We have nothing left~~ What do we need to do with faith?
Our parents gave us everything we wanted~~ What more should we ask God?
Some food and some clothes, what are we going to pursue socialism for?
No one will deprive us of our freedom~ The so-called rights and the so-called obligations seem to be far away from us~ What do we need a sense of social responsibility for?
This is the London of the film, right? Everyone is surrounded by loneliness, emptiness, which leads to madness, which leads to masochism.
The whole society has become morbid in the absence of this belief ~ even the so-called art is disgusting.

I've been thinking, why 86, 88, 89~~ or earlier ~ Cultural Revolution~~~ why those people are so crazy.
It is the transition of beliefs that has inflated, and those people are ~forced~ or influenced by the general environment,
so a certain person becomes a god, becomes supreme, and
some beliefs even surpass reason and all. . .
Thus, the "time city" appeared. . . Like pre-Renaissance Europe, like China during the Cultural Revolution. . .
The kind that makes people feel that the sky is always gray~~ The kind that makes people feel that every corner of the city is full of rancidity and filth. . .
Depression,,, occupies the whole world. . .

So what should be done? I have no idea. . .

I don’t know why the title is called Franklin~~ Maybe it’s because of him that he is connected to everyone~
Maybe he appeared in the form of a narrator~~
Maybe many of the ideas the director wants to express are expressed through Franklin. ?
Or, the so-called "time city" is just a fantasy of Franklin.
But it is a love story,,, makes people speechless,,,
or only love can make this world without faith no longer lonely?
I have no idea. . .
