When I had no life experience at all, I once went to the library and borrowed more than 30 books of Qiong Yao in a row. When I saw it, I really vomited. After more than 10 years, no matter how the situation changed due to the influence of film and television dramas, I have a page of Qiong Yao. Never turned over again.
When I read the books in this series of Shopaholics, I was originally just looking for an easy-to-read novel to practice English. The first book was pretty good to be honest, but I couldn't stand the second book. Nonetheless, I have to admit that the author has quite successfully captured the popular psychology: everyone has the potential to become a shopaholic.
Although the costume design has been criticized and the plot is cliché, the film adaptation is not bad. It's surprising to find a baby face like Hugh Dancy to play Luke... It's a bit different from the feeling in the novel, but it still fits well in the movie. Also, the story doesn't feel as good in New York as it does in London.
