88MINS's comment~ I really envy the life of old Jack

I watched 88MINS, is this a bad movie? ——Everyone said that, but because of AL PACINO, no matter how bad a movie is, it is worth it. After reading it, I think - maybe the society is too chaotic - I mean too diverse, everything is happening, and it sounds a little numb to serial murders, so the subject matter is a bit old-fashioned. The image of AL in it reminds me of "Dawn of Love Owl" but it feels a little different. Anyway, in the film, the life of the old man JACK is really enviable.
Let's start at the beginning - I don't know the exact age of old JACK, well, the '07 movie, even if he's the same age as AL, 67. The first paragraph of HIPHOP is very HIGH (I quite like it), the 67-year-old old JACK is dancing HIGH with the MMs. He doesn't look awkward at all. I don't know if the old men abroad are good at dancing, at least here. Even if the old man dances, he does old age exercises like dancing to the soothing and melodious music, or plays Tai Chi.... Intense HIPHOP will make them have heart problems, blood pressure conflicts, and then dizzy, where are they blessed? Enjoy the hot dance with sexy MM?
Old JACK lived the single life that countless married men aspired to, free and fun, away from the nagging of old women that old men of this age had to endure, and could drink to PARTY, then spend the night with MM - and was MM praised her performance well (....I don't think that Miss POLLARD's ME TOO was just talking about it...), slept late, and flirted with MM when she woke up (why do you think this sentence is weird? ...) Do you think you have a day like this in your old age?
Old JACK is not poor and happy. Unlike many old men who get pensions and retirement wages and do nothing every day, he still has a job, a psychoanalyst for the FBI, and teaches at a university by the way. It's amazing, I say it's a good job and a good income Still stable - so that life can be more arbitrary, and you can accompany young MM every day, all kinds of MM - beautiful mature and capable brown curly secretary Shelly, cute short hair assistant KIM with double smart big eyes , LAUREN, a tall and slender schoolgirl with long braids and shyness (before she finally revealed her identity), and some exotic flowers and plants beside him whose names I forgot. What's even more interesting is that KIM fell in love with the old JACK, and also pouted and stared at the watery eyes and was jealous (when LAUREN came to JACK's house to deliver the tape, her jealousy was especially obvious...) It was JACK who said "You are right. Too young for me." She was a little frustrated and annoyed, but she was still there.
Besides this job, the most important thing is that he can fully reflect the wisdom of old JACK, decisiveness, bravery, humor, sense of justice... It is not a simple mess, it challenges your talent and courage too much, such as the police suspect you The psychoanalysis done is wrong, saying that you forged evidence to frame the "murderer", then your students also suspect you, people suspect you, and then the police simply say that you are the murderer. But the old JACK is stubborn. Of course, the truth will eventually come out. The suspicion is to highlight the old man's stubbornness and superb talent~ It is also very dangerous. For example, someone will call you and say that you have 88 minutes left to live. I don't know him, but he understands that you are being followed and killed, and always tell you the time "You have XX minutes left~" There is nothing more exciting than this. In this process, MM's perseverance is indispensable. Old JACK still has Opportunity to play a hero to save the beauty - a car bomb, the old JACK hugged KIM and jumped into the lawn across the road.
In the end, JACK flew up to the teaching building - of course, the speed was much faster than that of ordinary old people, and then faced the muzzle of the gun that would kill him in only 1 minute, using his calmness and wit to the extreme, Re-educate his bad student by the way, look as usual and say FREE WILL. The ending is so good because he didn't die, the murderer was punished, he did a piece about not the length of time but it healed the wound in the most merciful way (Actually, I don't quite understand this sentence~)
Well, that's almost it, 88MINS, I don't like it very much, but I am very envious. I don't think it's a waste of time to watch it again. By the way, it's interesting to imagine what I would do if I JACK.

88 Minutes quotes

  • Kim Cummings: Just another day in the life of Jack Gramm.

  • Jack Gramm: [to Kim] You asked me about my kid sister. Okay, it was a long time ago. She was staying at my apartment in New York City. She was twelve, I was twenty-eight, and I was late for a meeting. A very important meeting. Meeting that was going to change my life, was gonna make me into somebody important, make all my dreams come true. So, I went to this meeting on this dissertation, and I left her there by herself. Now I could've taken her with me, I could've left her with friends, I could've post-poned the meeting... but I chose not to because I was in a hurry. Anyway, I left her there alone. At the time, I was working on a case. This guy had strangled six women. We were very close to nailing him. He was upset, and he wanted to get back at me, so he came to my apartment only I wasn't there. At that time, I wasn't as concerned for security. I was careless, so he broke the door down and he went in, and did things to my baby sister. Catherine was her name; Katie. He did things that you wouldn't do to an animal that was bred for slaughter. Anyway, when they caught him, he laughed and said it took him 88 minutes. It took him 88 minutes to hack my sister to bits.
