From beginning to end, Alex, who has been suffering from the strange eyes of the world and his own confusion and desire, has been protected by a pair of strong wings, that is, her parents. No matter what, they loved her so, so firmly, never wavered and never would. So vulnerable and stubborn, somber and rebellious Alex struts up to his parents at the end of the film and reaches out to wrap his dad's arm around his shoulders. With this arm around her, she is not afraid of discrimination, leaving friends, facing choices, and the long road ahead.
The intersex man who underwent surgery at 18 had a near-perfect family, which certainly gave Alex's parents hope. But whether Alex is willing to give up on who she is as a woman or a man is the most serious question she faces. It seems that she has so much that her life test paper has one more multiple-choice question than others. But as long as she makes a choice, she will definitely be able to walk the road of her life well. This is probably the silver lining in the ending of the film.
