"Flowers and Busts" film review - life, do something!

After working overtime after twelve o'clock, I realized that I actually worked overtime to pass Children's Day. These days, more adults than children think about Children's Day. June 1st means two things: one is that we are one year further away from children; the other is that half of the year is about to pass. Years pass by, and we still achieve nothing, even though we talk about ideals, ideas, and youthful fearlessness all day long, but in the end, when we are alone in a room, what is left is nothing. It's loneliness and frustration.

Just after working overtime, I watched the movie "Bustle and Stream", and I was so excited that I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night. A good movie will either move you or make you excited. There are many movies that are moving, and there are few movies that are exciting. The older one grows, the easier it is to be moved, because growing up makes them more and more vulnerable, sensitive, hesitant, and helpless... The older one grows, the less excited they become, because when they grow up, they have to learn not to be like an adult. Vibrant, because social survival requires moderation, because we are becoming more and more numb...

It is said that the post-90s are precocious, but I began to worry that the mid-life crisis of the post-80s will come ahead of schedule, because I am in the media industry, and I know all walks of life. After I was born in the 1980s, I suddenly found that these so-called white-collar workers, social workers, people on the edge of the city, etc., including myself, did not feel any sense of accomplishment at all. When I ordered something, I still felt that something was not going well. The first 70 years ago began to awaken to capitalist oppression, and the lower 90s began to graduate and work like crazy. Many of us have to get a salary of one, two or three thousand, and we can’t become a company. Middle-level cadres, unwilling to get the same salary slips as fresh graduates, spend all day talking about cars, houses, and beauties, watching lottery tickets and drawing cakes to satisfy their hunger. Although it didn't do anything on the fringes of the law like the black Americans in the movie "River and Bust", it was also numb and shameful.

do something! do something! Everyone should have dreams. There are two types of people in this society, one has dreams and keeps pursuing them; the other has dreams and gives up when they grow up. These two types of people will intertwine, and those who have been chasing are finally forced to give up; those who grow up and give up their dreams and live a practical life will suddenly wake up one day and want to do something, and this desire will become stronger and stronger. In the movie, Di Jie heard that a rapper used to live in the same environment as himself, so he remembered that he once played rap, pimped the life of prostitutes and clients all day long, endless bills and rents, let him His life was depressed and rebounded violently. He met his childhood friend and listened to the hymn singing in the church, and his eyes were filled with tears. He went home and got a Casio toy electronic keyboard and started his creative journey. A few friends joined, a group of The dream journey of people at the bottom of the society begins... The film always reveals a bit of the cruelty and darkness of real life. The film's protagonist, Di Jie, is by no means a good person. A prostitute mother and son swept out the door, for his dream he can also let the prostitute attached to him sacrifice his body. This seemingly shameless guy uses various methods to achieve his dreams. The only thing that impresses people is his persistent dedication to his dreams. On the other hand, the film also reveals the brilliance of human nature: prostitutes will also be sad and angry that Di Jie tells him to sell meat for the sake of two microphones, prostitutes also want to have their own values, I always think that is just a realistic survival way, rather than an attitude to life that should be criticized to death. Another pregnant prostitute, shug, brought back a lantern for their humble recording studio. I was also moved by this scene, which made me feel that this matter turned from a person's crazy idea to a group of people's dream.

Craig Brewer, who was a screenwriter, showed his dark humor and casual warmth in this film as a director and screenwriter. The road to dreams is always tortuous, perhaps not the director and screenwriter deliberately arranged twists and turns , but the beautiful things that educate us in real life. It is always tortuous, and it is not so easy to get. The director arranged for Dije to meet with the singer of his dreams, Skinny, hoping to get his help and let his music be used. Spread, but big people always love you to make you yourself This society is not so harmonious, the DAMO tape thrown in the toilet and the help of the prostitute in prison and finally the help of the prostitute can spread and be recognized by the world, this twists and turns plot Although it can be reasoned and guessed, it is indeed necessary to toss in this way, and then we will understand that dreams always have to be repeated, hard work may not be successful, and persistent efforts may be successful. I think the last few points of the film are still very exciting: one is the love between the pregnant prostitute shug and Dijie, the other is the encounter between Dijie and Skinny, the other is the prison guard who played music in prison after Dijie succeeded, and He did the same thing before, gave him a damo belt and hoped for his recommendation.

The director didn't say the ending, didn't say how Di Jie got rich and improved his life after he was famously released from prison, but used a scene of going out one door and entering another door to cover up a kind of reincarnation. Maybe Di Jie later became Skinny. A person who is so addicted to fame and achievement, maybe he starts to fulfill other people's dreams... Maybe it's just, life always goes on, and dreams should continue.

An exciting movie is to tell you that it is actually possible to do so! Tell you what to do, do something! Whatever it is, do something to get you where you want to be. Should we be alright crying and spitting on the internet about taking out the trash and then going to 9 to 5 when the alarm goes off the next day, or should we find something to do? Find something to do that we find meaningful. Let's go and do something. Since Children's Day is getting farther and farther away, we always have to do something to shout about our youth. Friends, happy Juneteenth!
