Almost 3 hours of film. This video has a 7.2 on IMDB, which is not as high as any other British drama I've watched. But it was an award-winning professional at the time: Won 3 Oscars. Another 10 wins & 12 nominations;
the picture is clear and the performance is not far off. While watching, I wondered if it was from '79. There is no age gap of 30 years.
By the end of the film, I, like most viewers, wondered: Why did Tess have to kill Alec? This man had seduced her, but he wasn't a douchebag. Financial aid, title and life as a noble wife were given to her during her most difficult times. And her loving and dedicated husband, Angel, abandoned her in the most miserable place.
After a nap. An answer came to my mind: Tess must kill Alec to prove her love for Angel. Killing him is far faster than divorcing him. Angel once said that Alec is the natural husband of Tess. With such a kill, you can say, aha, you misread me. And Tess's girlfriend once said to Angel, no one loves you more than Tess, she can give her life to love you. Bingo, killing him proves this.
Two men who both love Tess and kill her together.
Anyway, this is a flick. A film about the UK, shot and produced at an expensive price in France. Even the last Stonehenge made a fake in France. Nastassia Kinski as Tess is really beautiful. However, as a German actor, in order to develop a British accent, Polanski invited her a special training team to strengthen in London. Kinski burst into tears while reminiscing about filming. With my determination to protect 8, I immediately felt that the famous director must have had an extraordinary love for one of the most beautiful women in the world at that time.
Sure enough, Polanski, who was 25 years older than Kinski, fell in love with the photo of Kinski on the cover of the magazine, and dated Kinski, who was 15 years old. The two started living together when she was 16 years old. However, the relationship between them later came to an end, and 8 did not come out for the time being. Probably because Kinski grew up and didn't fit Polanski's Lolita complex. "As a director, he was 10 times more wonderful than as a lover," Kinski recalls. The
case is still unsolved, as Polanski fled the United States after being caught in a sex charge with a 13-year-old girl.
