When the director speaks a story without a talented sister, he wears it out.

As a suspense horror film, the flaw is that the foreshadowing at the beginning is too blunt, and the main plot fails to impress the audience, so as not to disturb the audience's attention and expose the suspense.

First, the director does not understand what a horror film is.
There is no "real horror" in the film that terrifies the audience—that is, the dreaded tragedies that can actually happen in the audience's life. Losing a loved one, loneliness, death, these are. But the visual horror of the film does not make people feel the heaviness of these things. The actors' performances are also too superficial to be convincing.

Second, the design suspense is too straightforward
. From the book her father gave her to seeing her sister swimming in the distance from the window, the director's naive brushstrokes let the audience know immediately that her sister is not a real character. The most important thing is that there is no role in the soap opera between the characters - the relationship between the sisters is completely empty, and no progress can be seen. This shows that there is a huge gap between European and American directors in emotional understanding and Asian directors, and they need to work hard.
