Taking a break from my busy schedule, I watched the film version of Madame Veron, which was adapted from the musical. Very ironic, as the lyrics sing, "I'm gonna be a part of BA Buenos Aires. Big Apple ... The magical city. A younger girl's city..." Unfortunately, after a hundred years, her line "Who could ever be fond of the back of beyond?" was obviously wrong. Perhaps, it should be understood as a kind of courage to say goodbye to the past. In contemporary terms, this is a real-life version of Cinderella's story. But in any case, she is still not recognized by the mainstream society. In my opinion, the mixed reputation is a blessing. By the way, when someone calls her Eva affectionately, I immediately think of Wall-E. Naturally, this is far from a harmless story to humans and animals, just like "If you don't read the Three Kingdoms, you don't read Water Margin." Viewers remember!
